On Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded the Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya town northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank and demolished a Palestinian home.
Bassam Khatib, the mayor of Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya, said a large military force, accompanied by bulldozers, invaded the Ein Al-Haramiyya area in the town after surrounding and isolating it.
He added that the army forced the family of Ghazi Shreiteh out of their property and demolished the 100-square-meter home.
The family did not receive a demolition order from the army and, therefore, had no legal recourse to contest the demolition order and file an appeal.
The property is in Area C of the West Bank, near an illegal Israeli colonialist outpost installed on stolen Palestinian lands.
The colonizers constantly attack the Palestinian in the area, invading and uprooting their lands, an issue that leads to protests before Israeli soldiers assault the Palestinians instead of removing the assailing colonizer.
The town has already lost about 6000 Dunams of its 13000 Dunams of land due to Israel’s illegal colonies and outposts that sit on land in its northern, western, and southern areas.
On Monday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinians, damaged rooms, and cut trees in the Ein Samia area near Kafr Malek village, northeast of Ramallah.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
