Israeli forces detonated the apartment of a slain Palestinian man, at dawn Friday, in the town of Qatanna, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
WAFA correspondent reported that a large army force invaded Qatanna town after midnight Thursday/Friday, surrounded the home of Mohammed Taha who was killed last month after allegedly carrying out a shooting operation with another young man.
He added that occupation forces evacuated a residential building and surrounding buildings, blocking residents and journalists from approaching the area.
Media sources said that occupation forces detonated the slain man’s apartment at dawn Friday, after military engineering units placed charges in the walls.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel rounds towards local citizens, causing a number of them to suffer inhalation injuries.
On Sept 8, 2025, Muthanna Naji Omar, 20, and Muhammad Bassam Taha, 21, were killed after allegedly carrying out a shooting operation at the Ramot Junction, north of occupied Jerusalem, which killed six Israeli settlers and injured others.

Israel regularly imposes collective punishment measures against the families of Palestinians who are accused of carrying out resistance operations against the occupation and its illegal settlers.
Under International Humanitarian Law (IHL);
“No one may be convicted of an offence except on the basis of individual criminal responsibility.” (Rule #102)
“Collective punishments are prohibited.” (Rule #103)
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states;
“No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
Pillage is prohibited.
Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.”
