On Friday night, Israeli soldiers injured numerous Palestinians, including two who were shot with live ammunition, in Beit Ummar town and the Al-‘Arroub refugee camp, located north of Hebron in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources reported that several Israeli military jeeps invaded Beit Ummar and Al-‘Arroub, closing streets and sparking protests.

The soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that the soldiers shot two Palestinians in the lower extremities with live ammunition and caused a young woman to suffer from tear gas inhalation in Beit Ummar.

Additionally, the PRCS reported that the soldiers fired gas bombs at homes and shops in Al-‘Arroub, leading to many Palestinians experiencing the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The soldiers also assaulted several Palestinians, vandalized shops, and forced them to close.

In related news, the soldiers abducted Khaled Issa Sawafta, 67, from Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, while he was crossing the Qalandia terminal, north of occupied Jerusalem.
