Israeli occupation forces carried out invasions across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, deploying troops in Bethlehem, Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilia, Salfit, the northern Jordan Valley in the Tubas district, and several areas of Hebron. The operations included breaking into homes, interrogating residents, closing main roads, and abducting several Palestinians.
In Bethlehem, soldiers invaded the city at dawn and positioned themselves in the livestock market and Manger Square.
Media sources reported no abductions but confirmed that Israeli intelligence phoned a local resident, Habib Mousa Da’aboub, ordering him to surrender himself for interrogation.
Troops also invaded the Hindaza area east of Bethlehem, broke into the home of Khader al‑Sono, and searched it without reporting abductions.
Later in the day, Israeli forces closed the main road in the town of Al‑Khader, south of Bethlehem, using earth mounds to block the route between the Al‑Bawwaba area and the Old City.
The closure also cut off access for residents of the western rural areas, preventing movement to and from central Bethlehem.
In Nablus, Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods, broke into homes, searched them, and abducted five Palestinians: Mohammad al‑Balbisi, Bahjat As’ad, Mo’taz al‑Aghbar, Azzam Abu Zanat, and former political prisoner Amer Abu Salhiya.
Troops also invaded the nearby town of Beita, south of Nablus, where they searched several homes without reporting abductions.
In Jenin, in norther West Bank, the soldiers abducted several Palestinian workers after stopping them in Barta’a town, north of the city.
In Qalqilia, the Israeli army announced the abduction of Shadi Jom’a from the town of Kafr Qaddum during a military operation in the city.
The army claimed he had recently been released from a Palestinian Authority detention facility and was accused of involvement in a 2007 shooting that killed an Israeli colonizer near the village of Al‑Funduq.
In Salfit, Israeli forces invaded the village of Farha, southwest of the district, breaking into numerous homes, conducting extensive searches, and interrogating residents.
Local sources said the soldiers converted one home into a field interrogation site and held several Palestinians inside during the invasion.
In the northern Jordan Valley, within the Tubas district in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Al‑Farisiyya area and broke into the tents of Palestinian residents in the Nabe’ Ghazal community. Two days earlier, troops had seized all agricultural equipment belonging to the community.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, the soldiers detained, assaulted and interrogated many young men in the town of Dura, southwest of the city.
Israeli forces also seized a truck and a vehicle belonging to farmers in the lands of Beit Ula, northwest of the city, and assaulted a Palestinian man.
Separately, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that a child was injured by rubber‑coated steel bullets when Israeli forces invaded the town of Bani Na’im, east of Hebron.
The soldiers also abducted an elderly Palestinian man who had lost his leg after being shot by an Israeli settler last year in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
The widespread invasions and movement restrictions reflect a continued escalation of Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank.
