On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians, including a child, and injured several Palestinians in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip’s southmost part.
On Wednesday morning, medical sources have confirmed that the soldiers killed a child, Mohammad Abu Zakkar, 16, in the eastern area of Rafah.
They added that the child was killed by a live round fired by an Israel army sharpshooter, and that the soldiers fired many live rounds at several parts of Rafah, wounding at least five Palestinians.
On Wednesday night, an Israeli military drone fired a missile at displaced Palestinians in the Shouka area, east of Rafah, killing one Palestinian and wounding many others.
Palestine TV said that the soldiers continue to besiege schools were families sheltered in Rafah, and that the soldiers are also surrounded many homes, including in the center of the city.
Palestine TV added that the army also fired many live rounds, wounding several Palestinians near the Al-Awda Mosque, Al-Awda Junction and Al-Kaf area, in Rafah.
It is worth mentioning that the army continued its breaches of the ceasefire agreement, including limiting the number of aid trucks entering Gaza, and reducing the number of wounded Palestinians who are supposed to be transferred to Egypt through the Rafah border terminal.
On Sunday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the deaths of two Palestinians who were seriously injured by Israeli military fire two days earlier in Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
On Sunday evening, Hani Awwad Abu Halawa died from serious wounds sustained after the army bombarded an area east of Rafah. The army also killed three Palestinian police officers: Yousef al-Eid, Ibrahim al-Eid, and Bilal al-Meghari. The three officers were part of a police force that provides security to aid trucks entering Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed at least 48,272 Palestinian citizens, most of whom were women and children, and wounded 111,693. At least 14,000 victims remain under the rubble of bombed buildings.
