Israeli forces killed two Palestinian children and wounded two others, on Wednesday night, after invading the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed them of the death of two Palestinians and confiscated their bodies.
The Ma’an News Agency identified the slain children as Ahmad Ali Asaad Salah, 15, and Mohammad Khaled ‘Elian Issa, 15, and that the army detained their bodies.
The same source added that occupation forces opened fire at Palestinian children and young men, in the western area of Al-Khader town, along the colonial road 60.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces prevented their ambulance crews from approaching the site, subsequently two of the wounded citizens were transported to hospital for treatment.
Quds Press quoted eyewitnesses who stated that after shooting several Palestinians, the army denied medical treatment to the wounded, and opened fire towards ambulance crews.
WAFA correspondent reported that military reinforcements arrived in the town, while soldiers continued to fire heavy live rounds.
In a statement, the army announced that its soldiers killed two Palestinians and wounded 2 others claiming that “the force spotted a number of young men throwing Molotov cocktails on a central road in the area.”
It added that Israeli forces “opened fire on them, killing two of them, and there were no casualties among our forces.”
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 185 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 36 children and 6 women.
Occupation forces have killed 65 Palestinians in Jenin, 32 in Nablus, 27 in Tubas, 17 in Tulkarem, 12 in Hebron, 11 in Ramallah, 8 in Bethlehem, 5 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 59,219, including women and children, while at least 143,045 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
