Israeli forces shot four Palestinian children and injured dozens of citizens after invading the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. The army invaded a number of towns in the governorate, detained many citizens, and abducted a woman.
Mohammad Awad, a local media activist, told the WAFA News Agency that the army invaded Beit Ummar town on Saturday evening, sparking protests from Palestinian citizens, while soldiers opened fire with live rounds, rubber-coated steel rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at citizens.
Awad added that Israeli soldiers shot three children with live ammunition in their legs, and another child with bullet fragments in the hand; they were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Additionally, Awad reported that dozens of citizens suffered the toxic effects of tear gas, they were treated at the scene by local medics.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron and the town of Ethna, west of the city, broke into many citizens’ homes, and detained a number of Palestinian citizens.
Media sources said that on Saturday morning occupation soldiers invaded the neighborhoods of Jabal al-Rahma, Ash’abi, and Nimra, in Hebron city, no arrests or protests were reported.
Sources added that the army stormed Ethna town, west of the city, invaded dozens of citizens’ homes, converting one of them into a military barracks, detaining and interrogating a large number of Palestinians before releasing them.
Furthermore, occupation forces invaded the town of Doura and the village of Khursa, southwest of Hebron, abducted a Palestinian woman and detained several citizens.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers abducted the woman, Dalal Hammad Qaraish, in Doura town, in an attempt to coerce her husband, the civil defense officer, Mohammad Abdul Hamid Qaraish, to turn himself in to the army.
Sources added that occupation soldiers invaded Khursa village on Saturday afternoon, detained the young men, Diaa Al-Amayreh, Nadim Faqousa, Osama Al-Shahatit, Hassan Khaled Al-Suwaiti, and Mohammad Adi Abu Hashem, and subjected them to interrogation, before releasing them.
In related news, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man in the leg with live ammunition after opening fire at him in the Jabal al-Tawil neighborhood in the city of Al-Biereh, and invaded several towns and villages in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and Al-Biereh.
