Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian youth and abducted another in a separate attack on Tuesday evening in Tulkarem, located in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, following an incursion by several military vehicles into the city.

According to media sources, the army invaded the city’s eastern neighborhood, specifically around the Al-Maslakh roundabout and the vicinity of the Abu Safiya factories.

Soldiers pursued young men, stopped vehicles, and conducted searches amid heavy live fire, resulting in the youth being shot in the leg.

Palestinian medics administered first aid to the wounded young man before transferring him to the hospital for further treatment.

In addition, the soldiers abducted a young Palestinian man while crossing the Ennab Israeli military roadblock, east of Tulkarem.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers forced the young man, Tareq Esmat Hishma, 21, out of a car before handcuffing and abducting him.

The abducted young man is He is a third-year student at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, majoring in Media Technology.

Throughout the day, Tulkarem witnessed an intensified presence of Israeli foot patrols across its streets, neighborhoods, and outskirts. Soldiers obstructed the movement of vehicles and civilians while firing live ammunition and stun grenades.

Meanwhile, the military continues to enforce strict siege on the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, preventing residents from entering or exiting.
