A Palestinian child was killed, and several residents, were injured on Tuesday after Israeli occupation forces opened fire in multiple areas across the devastated Gaza Strip, striking displaced families in Khan Younis, Rafah, Jabalia, and the central region.
Medical sources confirmed the death of Khaled Saifuddin Arada, 13, who was shot by Israeli forces while inside his family’s tent in the al‑Mawasi district of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The sources added that the child was critically wounded by live fire and later pronounced dead.
In Rafah in the Gaza Strip’s southmost part, three Palestinians were injured when Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward displaced communities sheltering in the al‑Mawasi area. Among the wounded was a 17‑year‑old girl.
In the northern Gaza Strip, three additional Palestinians were shot by Israeli forces in the al‑Faluja neighborhood of Jabalia, where sporadic gunfire has continued despite the presence of thousands of displaced civilians.

In the central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian man was injured near the Abu ‘Aasi station in the al‑Bureij refugee camp after Israeli forces opened fire toward the area. Witnesses reported ongoing bursts of gunfire that forced families to flee between makeshift shelters.
Earlier in the day, medical authorities released updated cumulative figures from the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
Since the “ceasefire” declared on 11 October of last year, 687 Palestinians have been killed, 1,849 injured, and 756 bodies recovered from beneath rubble or in previously inaccessible zones.

Since October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen to 72,263 Palestinians, with 171,948 injured, the majority of whom are children, women, and elderly, in addition to journalists, medics and rescue workers.
The latest incidents highlight the continued exposure of displaced families to Israeli fire across the Gaza Strip, where casualties persist despite the declared ceasefire and the widespread presence of civilians living in temporary shelters.
