On Wednesday, four Palestinian citizens, including an elderly man, were injured after illegal colonizers assaulted them in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron.

In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, Israeli colonizers attacked citizens’ homes in the village of Shaab al-Batoum, and assaulted an elderly Palestinian man.


Osama Makhamra, an anti-settlement activist, told the WAFA News Agency that Israeli colonizers assaulted an elderly young man, and attacked a number of citizens’ homes.

Makhamra added that the elderly citizen, Mahmoud Moussa al-Najjar, 75, sustained bruising as a result of the attack; he was transported to the Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment.

He said that the settlers invaded the elderly citizen’s home, destroyed its contents, and spray-painted racist slogans on its walls.


Additionally, Makhamra reported that the colonizers, from the illegal “Havat Talia” and “Susya” colonies, under army protection, attacked citizens’ homes in the village of Munizel and Khirbet Hariba al-Nabi in Masafer Yatta.

The settlers stole property from the home of the citizen, Eid Rashid, and vandalized the home of the citizen, Ali Sabah Abu Ali, stealing the keys to his home and barns.

Meanwhile, a group of armed paramilitary colonizers assaulted three Palestinians and released their livestock on citizens’ lands, near the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.

WAFA correspondent reported that a group of armed settlers from the illegal “Otniel” colony, built on citizens’ lands, assaulted three Palestinians, in the Khallat al-Farra area.

He added that three citizens sustained bruises and various minor injuries; they were treated at the scene by local medics. He said that the colonizers grazed their livestock on the citizens’ lands, causing damage to crops.
