Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers carried out attacks across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, injuring Palestinians, stealing 380 sheep near Hebron, and killing approximately 20 sheep and goats near Ramallah, while Israeli soldiers attacked farmers and prevented them from reaching their lands. Additional attacks targeted farmers and residents in the Salfit, Nablus, and Ramallah governorates.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that one Palestinian was shot in the thigh, and two others suffered the effects of pepper spray in Ma’in village, in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank, while several additional residents sustained bruises.
Media activist Osama Makhamra said a large group of colonizers attacked residents and their homes and fired live ammunition.
Makhamra said the assailants stole 380 sheep belonging to Mohammad Mahmoud Makhamra, Yousef Mahmoud Makhamra, Anan Abed Rabbo Houshiya, and Osama Hamada.
The colonizers also damaged property and smashed surveillance cameras, particularly at Makhamra’s home. An attempt to steal a flock belonging to resident Yasser al-Jabarin was unsuccessful.
Makhamra said Israeli soldiers protected the colonizers during the theft and assaulted Palestinians who tried to prevent them from taking the livestock.
The attack occurred amid escalating assaults, land seizures, demolitions, and movement restrictions affecting Palestinian herding communities throughout Masafer Yatta.
In a separate incident, colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers in the Wadi al-Sha’er area, east of Salfit city in the central West Bank.
In Salem village, east of Nablus, several Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation on Saturday after Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters at farmers and prevented them from reaching their lands. Medical sources said ambulance crews treated several people for tear gas inhalation.
In a related incident east of Burin village, south of Nablus, colonizers assaulted Palestinian olive harvesters, stole harvested olives and equipment, and fired live ammunition in the area.
In Beit Furik, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers and colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers to prevent them from harvesting olives.
At least one colonizer wearing an Israeli military uniform accompanied the soldiers during the attack. Colonizers also cut down and destroyed dozens of olive trees in the town’s al-Sahl area.
Local sources reported that colonizers killed approximately 20 sheep and goats during an attack on a farm belonging to the Darbani family in Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank. Video footage showed that the animals were very young.
In addition, a paramilitary Israeli colonizer attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds in Khirbet at-Taweel area near Aqraba, south of Nablus, forcing them to leave their lands.
Separately, colonizers, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, invaded Palestinian agricultural lands in Burqa, east of Ramallah, and attacked residents.
Israeli soldiers also fired live rounds at Palestinians who were defending themselves and their lands from a colonizer attack in the eastern area of Deir Ammar village, west of Ramallah.
On Saturday morning, colonizers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters and solidarity activists for the second consecutive day in Deir Jarir, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
