A group of illegal Israeli colonizers, on Tuesday afternoon, attacked and injured two Palestinians and burned several Palestinian vehicles and a factory, near the town of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that a group of colonizers invaded the industrial area known as “Al-Ladān” near Beit Lid, and carried out a large-scale attack against civilian and agricultural facilities.
The sources added that the colonizers hurled rocks at citizens, causing two Palestinians to suffer head injuries. The settlers burned several citizens’ vehicles, four trucks belonging to the “Al-Junaidi” dairy factory, causing damage to the factory, and also burned agricultural lands, tin rooms, and tents belonging to a Bedouin community in the area.
Following the attack, the army stormed the area and facilitated the settlers’ withdrawal, while chasing Palestinians who attempted to resist the assault.
Palestinian civil defense rushed to the scene to extinguish the fires, while ambulance crews treated the injured in the field.
In a press statement, the Governor of Tulkarem, Abdullah Kamil, called for a formation of guard committees from the Palestinian Authority following the large-scale attack against citizens and farmers near Beit Lid.
Kamil urged the international community and human rights organizations to put an end to settler violence against Palestinians and their properties in the occupied West Bank.
