Two Palestinian civilians were shot by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, and Israeli occupation forces abducted another Palestinian on Tuesday during a series of coordinated attacks carried out under full military protection in Masafer Yatta and several towns and villages across the Hebron governorate in the southern occupied West Bank.
Local sources said armed colonizers attacked Palestinian homes in the Hamroush area of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron, firing live ammunition at residents and their houses and wounding two Palestinians.
The same sources added that Israeli occupation forces entered the area to secure the colonizers’ attack, abducted resident Nabil At‑Tarawa, and assaulted civilians who tried to stop the colonizers from advancing toward the homes.
The colonizers attempted to reach the houses to set them on fire and cause further property damage.
In a related incident, colonizers drove in a provocative convoy through the village of Al‑Burj, west of Hebron, passing through several streets while waving Israeli flags and chanting racist slogans against Palestinians.
In Beit Ula, also west of Hebron, colonizers conducted another provocative tour in western areas of the town’s land from which Palestinians have been dispossessed over the years.
The areas are adjacent to the annexation wall and colonial expansion zone, where colonizers chased residents and shepherds.
Meanwhile, a group of colonizers entered the At‑Tayyar neighborhood of Ath‑Thaheriya, south of Hebron, roaming among Palestinian homes while chanting slogans calling for the killing and expulsion of Palestinians and the seizure of their land and property.
In the village of Janba in Masafer Yatta, colonizers continued their assaults and chased shepherds, while Israeli occupation forces fired stun grenades toward the shepherds to provide cover for the colonizers.
Communities across Masafer Yatta and other parts of the Hebron governorate continue to face sustained, simultaneous attacks by colonizers and Israeli occupation forces targeting residents and their property.
The attacks aim to forcibly displace Palestinians through threats of armed violence, killing and abduction, and to seize additional Palestinian land for further colonial expansion.
On Monday, Israeli colonizers killed two Palestinian brothers and injured several others, after invading the village of Qaryout, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced the deaths of the two brothers Mohammad Taha Abdel-Majeed Muammar, 51, and Fahim Taha Abdul-Majeed Muammar, 48, who were killed by Israeli colonizers.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
Articles 53 and 147, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
