Earlier Monday, the Israeli army intensified its bombing and shelling in various parts of the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including women and children, and wounding many more.

Palestinian rescue teams found the corpses of thirty Palestinians after the army fired missiles from its war jets targeting homes that were marked as “safe” or in “safe areas” and a mosque in central Gaza.

Al-Jazeera English quoted its reporter Tareq Abu Azzoum stating that the health workers, the patients, and the displaced families sheltering at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza are terrified, especially after Israeli army sharpshooters killed at least seven Palestinians in the area.

The Israeli tanks fired shells at homes and buildings, south and west of Gaza City, causing dozens of casualties, including fatalities.

The army claimed it was bombing Gaza to prevent Hamas from reestablishing its power in the city, however, the missiles and shells largely struck homes and various civilian facilities, including medical centers.

At least four Palestinians from the Al-Khairi family were killed after the Israeli army fired a missile at their home in Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood; many Palestinians were injured, in addition to two Palestinians killed, and three injured, by Israeli army sharpshooters in the Nasr neighborhood in the city.

Furthermore, the army continued its extensive bombing and shelling of various neighborhoods in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, inflicting many casualties, including fatalities.

Medical sources said, besides the large numbers of fatalities and injuries, the Palestinians also found the corpses of 16 Palestinians, buried under the rubble of their homes, in Khan Younis, in addition to six Palestinians who were targeted by Israeli missiles while inspecting their previously bombarded homes.

In Rafah, in southern Gaza, the army fired missiles and shells at areas, north and east of the city, killing at least five Palestinians and wounding many others.

At least one man was killed, and his son was injured, when the army fired a missile at a horse-drawn carriage in Khan Younis.

In central Gaza, the army fired missiles at homes in Deir Al-Balah, killing at least thirty and wounding dozens; Among the slain Palestinians in Deir Al-Balah are 14 members of the Khattab family.

The army also fired missiles at the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, killing and wounding many Palestinians.

Israel has now killed at least 27.365 and injured more than 66.630, mostly women, children, and elders, in several parts of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. At least 8.000 Palestinians remain buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, since October 7.

Israeli Daily Haaretz said 1.443 Israelis, including 537 soldiers, 60 police officers, and 13 emergency services members have been killed since October 7.
