On Day 127 of the ongoing Israeli onslaught on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Israel’s missiles and shells killed and injured dozens of Palestinians, including children and women. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, approved the massive ground offensive of Rafah, in the southern part of the coastal region.
The Al-Jazeera news agency said the Israeli army fired a missile at a civilian car, west of Rafah city, killing three Palestinians.
It added that the Mayor of Rafah, Dr. Ahmad Soufi, voiced urgent appeals to the international community, calling for an immediate intervention and an end to the ongoing ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

Talking to Al-Jazeera, Dr. Soufi said Rafah is overcrowded with more than 1.4 Million Palestinians in less the 20 square kilometers, mostly those who fled areas in northern and central Gaza, and added that the aid allowed through the Rafah Crossing with Egypt is not even enough for %10 of the city’s inhabitants.
“We have famine in Rafah, we have nothing left,” he said, “We have diseases spreading among the Palestinians.”
“The people are terrified, they don’t know where to go and what to do,” Dr. Soufi said, “The army is killing families, and the people are just stranded there, we call on the world, the Muslim world, the international community to act immediately….”
He also said that there is no space in Rafah, every area of the city is filled with Palestinians, and added that any attack on Rafah will lead to massacres among dozens of families.
Dr. Soufi also told Al-Jazeera that the Palestinians in Rafah have not received any orders from the army, and anyway, have no place to go to.
In related news, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the Israeli army is deliberately targeting its medics and ambulances, and have killed, injured, and abducted many medics.
In addition, the army killed twenty-two Palestinians, mostly children, in three air strikes targeting areas in Rafah, earlier Saturday, including six children who were killed in a home for the Ghannam family in the Al-Jneina neighborhood; many Palestinians were injured.
At least ten Palestinians, including children and women, were killed when the army fired a missile at a home for the Az-Zarabi family, north of Rafah.
Among the slain Palestinians are Dr. Rafah Henidak, her husband, Mohammad Abu Sa’id, and their sons Osama and Mohammad.
In addition, an Israeli missile struck a home for the Al-Jarmi family, north of Rafah, killing four Palestinians, and wounding several others.
In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired missiles at farmlands, and at several parts of the city.
The army also fired dozens of live rounds at the surrounded and isolated Nasser Hospital and Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis, striking main gates, yards, and the various wards of the two medical facilities, killing several Palestinians, including one woman, and a patient at the emergency department, and wounding many others.
In addition, the army fired many missiles and shells at several areas in the eastern part of Jabalia, in northern Gaza, causing many casualties.
The Palestinian Health Ministry expressed deep concerns about the lives of more than 300 staffers, 450 patients and wounded Palestinians and more than 10.000 residents who sheltered at Nasser Medical Center.
The Health Ministry added that the Israeli army “committed massacres against Palestinian families, killing at least 107 and wounding 142.
Israel has now killed at least 27.947 Palestinians, and injured more than 67.459, mostly women and children, in the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
