On Thursday, Day 692 of the ongoing Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, Day 196 since Israel resume the genocide after violating a mediated ceasefire agreement on March 18, Israeli warplanes continued their relentless bombardment across the besieged territory, killing 71 Palestinians and injuring 339. Jory, the 4-year old girl in the image above, was one of the 71 killed today.

Medical sources announced today, Thursday, that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,966, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression on October 7, 2023. A number of victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

Israeli forces and US mercenaries shot to death 22 Palestinians, and wounded 203, who were seeking aid at the US-run ‘aid’ sites, bringing the total number of people killed at the so-called ‘aid’ sites to 2,180, and injuries to 16,046.

During the past 24 hours, Gaza Strip hospitals recorded 4 new deaths as a result of famine and malnutrition, bringing the total number to 317 deaths, including 121 children.

FORCED DISAPPEARANCES AT U.S.-RUN ‘AID’ SITES:

United Nations human rights experts expressed their concern about reports of cases of “forced disappearance” in which hungry Palestinians were trying to obtain food at distribution sites run by the American “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, which operates under the supervision of the Israeli occupation, saying this heinous crime must be put to an end.

The seven independent experts said in a joint statement on Thursday that they had received reports that a number of individuals, including a child, had been victims of enforced disappearance after heading to aid distribution sites in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Experts assigned by the United Nations Human Rights Council, but not speaking on behalf of the organization, added, “Reports of enforced disappearance of civilians seeking their basic right to food are not only shocking, but amount to torture”.

They considered that “the use of food as a means of carrying out targeted and mass disappearances must end now”, pointing to reports suggesting that “the Israeli army is directly involved in cases of enforced disappearance of people who were seeking assistance”.

The statement said that last week, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights documented “the killing of 1,857 Palestinians while waiting for aid since late May, including 1,021 people near the centers of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”.

EXPANDING FAMINE IN GAZA:

Over the last 24 hours, four Palestinians, including two children, died from starvation and the lack of medical supplies in the Gaza Strip.

The number of Palestinians who have died from malnutrition and famines has now reached 317, including 121 children.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said Thursday that the levels of death and destruction in Gaza are unparalleled in recent times. He warned of the devastating consequences of expanding Israeli military operations in Gaza City.

The Secretary-General stressed the need for Israeli to stop using starvation of civilians as a means of warfare, and to ensure the protection of civilians and allow humanitarian access. He added: “There is no room for more excuses, obstacles or lies”.

Since March 2, Israel has imposed a total closure on all border crossings into Gaza, effectively blocking humanitarian aid and plunging the territory into famine conditions.

Despite the buildup of relief trucks at the border, only extremely limited quantities are allowed in—insufficient to meet even the most basic needs of the starving population.

Israel is blocking 430 essential food items from entering Gaza, including eggs, meat, poultry, fish, dairy, fruits, vegetables, and supplements vital for children, pregnant women, and the sick.

The limited food allowed in lacks real nutritional value, leaving the population malnourished and vulnerable to disease. Starvation here is not accidental; it is a deliberate, calculated policy.

An unknown virus is spreading at Gaza’s al-Shifa Medical Complex, according to its director Muhammad Abu Salmiya, who said the facility lacks the equipment to identify its origin, reports Al Jazeera Arabic.

DANGEROUS CHEMICALS AND GASES RELEASED IN ONGOING ISRAELI BOMBARDMENT:

Reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip used more than 100,000 tons of explosives, releasing toxic gases that negatively affect residents’ health.

Citizens are suffering from health complications due to inhaling these gases and gunpowder residues, with the situation worsening for those with chronic illnesses such as pulmonary fibrosis and asthma, according to health experts.

Gaza’s healthcare sector faces severe shortages of medicines and medical equipment, making treatment of these cases difficult and calling for urgent international intervention to provide support and assistance.

WIDESPREAD HOME DEMOLITIONS BY ISRAELI ROBOTS IN GAZA CITY:

Beyond the headlines of destruction, families face the collapse of their social fabric, with communities scattered and livelihoods lost. The psychological toll on children and adults alike is immense, leaving scars that go far beyond physical damage.

While the world watches, many essential needs remain unmet, from medical care to basic supplies. Highlighting these struggles reminds us that humanitarian support and international accountability are urgently needed.

FORCED DISPLACEMENT:

The Israeli occupation began its operation in northern Gaza more than a week ago, and now the heavy bombardment and direct targeting of civilians and their homes are forcing residents to evacuate under fire. This displacement, this time, is toward the unknown. It is a catastrophe in every sense of the word. People are asking: Where can we go?

After Israel announced plans to seize Gaza City, families in Sheikh Redwan near Jabalia are fleeing under fire as the army demolishes homes and infrastructure, leaving them with nowhere to go.er.com/download

TARGETED ASSASSINATION OF MEDICAL PERSONNEL:

After two weeks of being missing, the body of Dr. Fathi Abdelkarim Al-Raqab, a pediatric consultant, was found in Khan Younis Southern Gaza.

He was killed after being targeted by the Israeli army days ago, joining his son, the late Dr. Abdelkarim, and his brother Naim, who both were killed by Israeli forces during the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The following attacks by the Israeli military against Palestinian civilians in Gaza were documented on Thursday:

11:30 pm

Four Palestinians were killed and others injured as Israeli occupation aircraft strike a home in Tal al-Hawa, west of Gaza City.

Israeli artillery shells Jabalia Al-Balad and Al-Nazla in northern Gaza.

5 pm

Massive Israeli bombardment reported in northern Gaza, in the Jabalia area:

1:40 pm

A woman and a child were killed, Thursday afternoon, when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on the tents of displaced people west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, three citizens, including a mother and her child, were killed in the Israeli occupation’s bombing of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip and the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City. The two were killed as a result of the Israeli occupation’s bombing of a Ghanem family home in Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA” said Thursday that the Israeli occupation’s ongoing bombing of the Gaza Strip and evacuation orders are forcing entire families to leave their homes again amid fear and destruction.

On Wednesday, members of the UN Security Council, with the exception of the United States, called for an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, a significant increase in aid throughout the Strip, and Israel, the occupying power, immediately and unconditionally lifting all restrictions imposed on the delivery of aid.

They also called on Israel to immediately reverse its decision to take control of Gaza City. “This decision, which we reject, will inevitably exacerbate the humanitarian situation and endanger the lives of all civilians.”.

On Wednesday, the Israeli military announced that two divisions are actively attacking the outskirts of Gaza City as part of its declared plan to reoccupy the city. The army’s spokesperson urged residents to evacuate immediately.

In its statement, the military claimed that Division 162 is engaged in combat in Jabalia and northern Gaza City, while Division 99 is operating simultaneously in Zeitoun, southeast of the city, allegedly working to “locate and destroy military infrastructure above and below ground.” The statement also claimed that several sites were destroyed in recent hours.

In related news, UNRWA has warned that Gaza offers no safe refuge amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment.

The agency emphasized that the scale of killings among health workers, journalists, and humanitarian staff is unprecedented in modern conflict.

It estimates that around half a million people in Gaza City are currently enduring conditions of severe famine.

This crisis is compounded by the destruction of infrastructure, the blockade of aid, and the targeting of essential services.

UNRWA’s statement reflects the depth of the humanitarian collapse, with civilians trapped in territory under siege, facing starvation, displacement, and constant bombardment.

Casualty Statistics:

-Since Israeli violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18, 2025, 11,050 Palestinians have been killed and 46,886 injured.

– Aid-seeking casualties in the past 24 hours include 18 deaths and 106 injuries, bringing the total to 2,158 aid-related deaths and over 15,853 injuries.

– Gaza’s hospitals recorded 10 new deaths from starvation and malnutrition, raising the total to 313 famine-related deaths, including 119 children.

According to the latest health reports, 76 Palestinians were killed and 298 injured, including children and women, in the past 24 hours alone.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed more than 62,895 Palestinians, and injured at  158,927, the majority of whom are children and women.

These figures reflect a systematic campaign of extermination, displacement, and deprivation.

The deliberate targeting of civilians, homes, hospitals, and aid seekers, alongside the obstruction of humanitarian relief, constitutes a textbook case of genocide under international law.

The scale of destruction and suffering in Gaza demands urgent global accountability and protection for the Palestinian people.
