Israeli troops continued their bombardment of civilian areas in northern, central and southern Gaza on Monday for the 171st straight day of what many world leaders and the International Court of Justice have termed a genocide. The Israeli siege of al-Shifa Hospital entered its seventh straight day, with reports emerging of torture, mass executions, rape and desecration of the bodies of murdered Palestinians.

The death toll has reached 32,226 Palestinians killed and 74,518 injured over the past 171 days.

Local sources have reported that Israeli forces are now besieging al-Amal Hospital and al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Jamila al-Hisi, who just managed to escape the Al-Shifa Hospital massacre after having been besieged for six days by Israeli forces on the grounds of the hospital, told Al Jazeera reporters:

  • Israeli occupation forces raped women and then killed them
  • The besieged in the hospital grounds haven’t found food or water for 6 days.
  • The Israeli occupation forced 65 families to leave the area around the Complex.
  • Israeli Occupation forces burned and killed entire families.
  • Israeli Occupation forces burned the building she and other were barricaded in.
  • She and the hundreds of other besieged civilians don’t even have water to break their holy Ramadan fast and they don’t know where to go.

Israeli airstrikes before dawn Monday morning targeted a home in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, killing nine and wounding others, while a number of missing people are still under the rubble.

The Israeli occupation forces bombed a home in Rafah, in southern Gaza, where at least six family members were killed.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli military government’s decision to prevent the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) from bringing any relief aid into the northern Gaza Strip. There is an ongoing and worsening famine happening in northern Gaza, where more than 90% of the people are now without shelter after Israeli forces destroyed their homes and virtually every building.

In a statement issued Sunday evening, the Ministry said the prevention of UNRWA aid distribution would deepen famine and death through starvation and thirst. The Ministry added that it has become clear that the Israeli occupation government is actively targeting UNRWA and is working to destroy it, kill its staff, and put it out of service. In addition, the Ministry said Israeli officials have made clear their aim of changing the identity of the Strip, so that it is cleared of its 2.5 million Palestinian residents and Israeli citizens are moved in to the coastal Strip to replace the ethnically cleansed Palestinians.

The Ministry called on the international community and the American administration to stop seriously in the face of this dangerous Israeli decision, which means killing and displacing civilians. It also called for immediate international intervention to stop the Israeli implementation of ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip, before it is too late.
