On Sunday, Day 212 of the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinian civilians in the destroyed Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed dozens of Palestinians, including many women and children, and injured many more.

At least six Palestinians, including children, were killed when the army fired a missile at a home in Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part.

Medical sources said many Palestinians were injured, and that the rescue teams were looking for potential victims under the rubble.

Also in Rafah, Israeli missiles killed nine Palestinians, including four children, in one home in the Tannour neighborhood, in addition to four Palestinians, including a newborn, in George Street, east of Rafah.

Casualties, including fatalities, were also reported in the Khirbet Al-Adas area, northeast of Rafah, and the Salam neighborhood, in Rafah.

It is worth mentioning that Israel’s missiles and shells have killed more than 21 Palestinians, mostly children and women, in several homes in Rafah City.

Israeli missiles also milled and injured many Palestinians, including women and children, in a UNRWA school in Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Osama Hamdan, a political leader of the Hamas movement, said in statements to Al-Arabi TV that some progress was made in ceasefire talks and added that Israel is trying to focus the talks on its demands instead of trying to reach a permanent ceasefire deal.

Hamadan also said that the resistance in the Gaza Strip is strong and remains capable of repelling Israeli invasions, adding that Israel has underestimated the power of the resistance groups and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

His statements came shortly after the resistance in Gaza struck invading Israeli tanks and armored vehicles with heavy mortar shells, southwest of Gaza City.

Israel said three soldiers were killed and nine were injured by Palestinian mortars in a military base near Karem Abu Salem crossing, and added that fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, attacked the base with many shells, bringing the number of slain soldiers since October 7 to 611.

Israel’s missiles and shells have killed at least 34.683 Palestinians, including more than 17.873 children and 9.801 women, and injured more than 78018, mostly women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble, in destroyed streets and alleys in various parts of the coastal enclave.
