On Day 252 of the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the destroyed Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells struck dozens of homes and buildings, killing and wounding scores of Palestinians.

Medical sources said a Palestinian child, Mustafa Hijazi, from northern Gaza, died at the Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza, due to malunion, dehydration, and the lack of medical supplies at the devastated and depleted medical center, bringing the official number of Palestinians, especially children, who died from similar conditions to 40.

In Rafah, the army fired missiles and live rounds at areas of the western part of the city, wounding a Palestinian mother and her child.

Palestinian medics found the bodies of two Palestinians who were killed when the Israeli army fired shells at the Saudi neighborhood, west of Rafah city.

In Gaza City, a child was killed, and many were injured when the army fired artillery shells at the Zeitoun neighborhood.

Overnight, Israeli missiles killed three Palestinian women and at least one child, and injured several Palestinians, after the army bombarded homes in Gaza City.

In central Gaza, casualties were reported when the army fired a missile at a home in Deir Al-Balah city.

Also, the Israeli army fired shells and missiles at the Al-Mughraqa and Az-Zahra’, just to the north of the destroyed Power Plant in central Gaza, causing casualties.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, at least one Palestinian was killed, and several others were injured when Israeli navy ships fired missiles at the Port area, west of the city.

On his part, the head of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, said there are more than 200 children who are severely malnutrition, and added that those are just the cases the medical teams managed to examine.

He stated that the situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic, with severe cases of malnutrition, hunger, lack of water, lack of medical supplies and essentials, and called on all related international institutions and organizations to intervene and added that “the only food that can be found in northern Gaza is wheat.”

On the political level, the Hamas movement said that it still needs to hear a clear Israeli stance accepting a ceasefire and added that Israel must fully withdraw from the Gaza Strip.

The statement came after the American President, Joe Biden, said on Thursday evening, that Hamas is the obstacle to achieving a ceasefire.

Biden’s statement came during a press conference with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Italy.

It is worth mentioning that Israel did not officially accept the American-proposed ceasefire deal, as its leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his extreme right-wing coalition partners, have consistently and repeatedly said that “the war on Gaza will continue until Israel achieves its goals,” which include “the release of the captives,” although Israel has already killed many of them, and the “defeat of Hamas”.

It is worth mentioning that Doctors Without Borders said, Thursday evening, that Israel killed more than 800 Palestinians and injured 2400 since the beginning of this month, in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

Israel has now killed at least 37.232 Palestinians and injured more than 85.037, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble, in several parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7. 2023.
