They also recovered 5 martyrs and a number of wounded as a result of targeting a house for the Hathat family in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

A correspondent with the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that Israeli gunboats bombed, in conjunction with heavy gunfire from occupation vehicles, the areas of Tal al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin, southwest of Gaza City.

The correspondent added that Israeli warplanes flew densely and at low altitude in the airspace of Gaza City.

Also Saturday, rescue crews recovered the bodies of nine martyrs from various areas in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Day 253: Dozens Killed As Israeli Army Continues Bombing Gaza

On Saturday, Day 253 of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinians in the destroyed, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells targeted many densely populated areas, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including women and children.

In Gaza City, the army continued the firing of missiles and shells at several neighborhoods, killing at least nineteen Palestinians and wounding more than 50, in three homes in the Sheja’eyya and the Tuffah neighborhoods.

Medics and rescue teams found the corpses of five Palestinians and rescued several injured from homes of the Al-Jamassi and the Ramlawi families that the army bombarded in the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The teams also found the corpses of five Palestinians and many wounded under the rubble of a bombarded home for the Hathat family in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Also in Gaza, one child was killed and more than thirty Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at the home of Othman Al-Jamassy.

Gaza City and northern Gaza remain under constant Israeli bombings and violations, famine, and diseases, as the Palestinians only have access to bread and some canned food.

Medical sources at the Kamal Adwan Hospital, in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, have confirmed that more than 200 children suffer severe malnutrition.

Many families have no alternative but to feed their children bread dipped in tea to try to relieve their hunger sensation.

Furthermore, the Israeli army wired and detonated dozens of homes and buildings in the Al-Mighraqa area, north of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

At least two Palestinians were killed and many were injured when the army fired a missile at a home for the Abu ‘Aisha family in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired missiles and shells at several parts of the city, especially the eastern areas, causing casualties.

In Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, Israeli Quadcopter drones fired live rounds at Palestinians in the Shaboura refugee camp, in the center of the city, killing Ahmad Hamdan, 30, while the army continued the firing of artillery shells, in addition to the writing and detonating of many homes.

At least two Palestinians were killed and three were injured when the army targeted areas, east of Rafah.

Furthermore, Palestinian medics and rescue teams uncovered the corpses of three Palestinians under the rubble in the Saudi neighborhood, west of Rafah.

Deputy executive director of the World Food Programme, Carl Skau, stated that “one million displaced Palestinians in southern Gaza are trapped without clean water or sanitation”, and “the level of destruction is shocking”.

“Our main concern at the moment is in the south. Since the operation in Rafah, we’ve had to move our offices and our warehouses to Deir el-Balah further north and we are now struggling to assist hundreds of thousands of people who have been displaced from Rafah,” he said.

“Food, basic food commodities are available but we’re extremely concerned about the protection crisis and water and sanitation crisis. There is deep concern about the trajectory of the situation in the south.”

Al-Jazeera English quoted Rana Zuaiter, a Clinical nutritionist, stating that the children in the Gaza Strip have no food security, and are thirsty as the water is contaminated, and added that about %90 of the children suffer from hepatitis, diarrhea, and several other diseases.

She also told Al-Jazeera that “one in three children is suffering from starvation. It’s a huge number of man-made starvation, which Israel uses as a weapon of war,” and urged an immediate end to the Israeli air strikes to allow the entry and distribution of food in the Gaza Strip.

It is worth mentioning that, on Friday, two Palestinian children died from severe malnutrition and dehydration.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the army committed four massacres of families in less than 24 hours, killing and wounding dozens, including 34 slain Palestinians and 71 wounded who were moved to medical centers, while many remain under the rubble.

Israel has now killed at least 37.266 Palestinians, including more than 15.694 children, and injured more than 85.102, in addition to the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble, on streets and in destroyed alleys, across the coastal enclave, since October 7, 2023.
