In the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, also in central Gaza, at least two Palestinians were killed, and many were injured when the army bombarded homes.

Casualties were also reported when the army fired missiles at homes, buildings and streets in the Al-Mughraqa town, in central Gaza.

Gaza City, especially the Sabra neighborhood, was also subject to intense Israeli bombing and shelling, causing many casualties.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired a missile at a home for the Moammar family, in the center of the city, killing at least five Palestinians, including Voice Of Palestine reporter, Journalist Tamim Moammar, his wife and three of their children; Shams, 13, Salam, 15 and Mais, 4. Their sons Yahia, 11 and Abdul-Rahman, 7, are the only survivors.

The Official Palestinian Media strongly condemned the assassination of Tamim and denounced Israel’s illegal policies and violations of international law, including the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists and their families as a fundamental aspect of the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Media outlets reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that Palestinian journalists and media professionals will persist in documenting the hardships Palestinian people in the occupied territories, and in exposing the Israeli war crimes.

They urged international media and humanitarian organizations to act beyond mere statements of condemnation and to take decisive action to hold those responsible for war crimes accountable, advocating for their prosecution at the International Criminal Court.

In addition, the army fired a missile at a home in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, killing five Palestinians, including children, and wounding many others.

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home, east of the Jabalia refugee camp, wounding eighteen Palestinians, including several children.

Two Palestinians were also killed in the Al-Amour area in Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, and one Palestinian was killed by an Israeli army sharpshooter near Eilaboun School in Al-Qarara, also east of Khan Younis.

The army also killed another journalist, Abdullah Sousi, after firing a missile at his home in Khan Younis.

Several Palestinians were injured, some seriously, in an Israeli bombing in the Shahaida area of Abasan Al-Jadeeda town, east of Khan Younis.

Palestinian medics and rescue teams also located the corpses of two Palestinians, including a child, under the rubble of bombarded homes in Abasan town, east of Khan Younis, and the corpse of a young man who was killed by an Israeli army sharpshooter in the town.

On its part, UNRWA stated that displacement continues for thousands of families across #Gaza. Yesterday, following evacuation orders in the Khan Younis area, an estimated 60,000 – 70,000 people have been forced to flee towards Mawasi.

UNRWA Commissioner-general, Philippe Lazzarini, stated on X that “Two in every three buildings in #Gaza are damaged or destroyed according to latest from @UNOSAT. Every day this war goes on, the destruction of a whole community continues. Beyond the brick & stone. These are people’s homes, schools, markets, and places of worship. The once closely tied society & kinship are being torn apart day after day, under our watch. With a ceasefire comes equally the urgency to rebuild the social fabric & community ties.”

Israel has continued its aggressive military actions in the war-ridden Gaza Strip, in a blatant disregard for the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which issued a legally binding ruling demanding that Israel cease its operations in Rafah, breaching its commitments under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has now killed at least 39.699 Palestinians, and injured at least 91.722, mostly children, women, and elderly, in addition to the about 10.000 who remain under the rubble of bombarded homes and streets, in destroyed streets and alleys in various parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
