On Friday, Day 329 of the ongoing genocide in the destroyed, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli army killed and injured dozens of Palestinians across the coastal enclave. At least 23 civilians have been killed since dawn on Friday, according to medical sources.

Update – 20:30 pm: At least six civilians, including women and children, were killed and others were injured on Friday in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling on various parts of the Gaza Strip, raising the death toll to 23 since dawn Friday, according to medical sources.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation bombed a group of Palestinians in Al-Ajarmah Street in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of at least 4 civilians and the injury of others, who were transferred to the Kamal Adwan and Indonesian hospitals.

A child was also killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation bombed a house in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Funeral of a Palestinian killed Thursday

A woman, Nidaa Fayez Abu Amer, and her husband and three children were injured, in an artillery attack by the Israeli occupation forces on the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Also Friday, Norwegian Minister of International Development, Ann Beth Tevenrem, said that the “Israeli attack on a World Food Programme aid convoy in the Gaza Strip [on Wednesday] is absolutely unacceptable.”

In a statement released by the Department for International Development, Tefnerem expressed her shock that a UN vehicle came under direct fire despite being clearly marked. She pointed out that the vehicle carrying employees of the United Nations World Food Programme had obtained the necessary permits from the occupation forces before it was targeted .

“Gaza is the most dangerous place in the world for humanitarian aid workers, ” she explained. On Wednesday, the World Food Programme announced the suspension of its activities in Gaza “until further notice”,  after a vehicle in one of its convoys was shot at by Israeli occupation forces.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression by land, sea and air on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the killing of at least 40,602 Palestinians and the injury of 93,855 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.

 

Updated – 11:08 am: Two citizens, including a child, were killed, and many were injured, when the army fired a missile at an apartment near the Al-Hawja intersection in the Jabalia camp, in the northern part of the coastal enclave.

Medical sources said an Israeli war jet fired a missile at a house belonging to the Abu Doqqa family in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, killing at least three Palestinians and wounding many others, before they were moved to Nasser Medical Center and Gaza European Hospital, southeast of the city.

Over the last 24 hours, the Israeli army killed at least 23 Palestinians and injured dozens in bombings targeting Khan Younis and Rafah in Gaza’s southernmost part, before they were transferred to Nasser Medical Center and the European Hospital.

Fifteen Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured, in Israeli bombings of two aid convoys, east of Rafah.

In central Gaza, the army fired missiles and shells at areas in the western part of the Nusseirat refugee camp, killing at least nine Palestinians and wounding more than twenty.

At least five Palestinians were also killed, and several others were injured, when the army bombarded the Al-Burka junction in Deir Al-Balah city, in central Gaza, while many Palestinians were injured in an Israeli bombing of the Da’wa area, north of Nurseries.

One Palestinian was killed and many were injured in the Israeli bombing of the Al-Mosadar area in central Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that, after the limited withdrawal of the Israeli tanks from areas in Deir Al-Balah and Khan Younis, the extensive damage to the homes, buildings, and streets started unfolding, before the medics at least nine slain Palestinians to hospitals.

Medical sources have confirmed that a Palestinian man, Nasr Al-‘Aabed died from serious wounds less than 24 hours after his daughter was killed when the army bombarded their home in Khan Younis.

The army withdrew from all invaded areas after 22 days of the third ground offensive, carried out by the 98th Brigade in Khan Younis.

Media sources in Khan Younis said the army left behind significant destruction in the infrastructure and residential buildings in the city.

The occupation vehicles withdrew from the incursion area around Street 5 in Khan Younis and around Dar Al-Salam Hospital, while rescue teams continued their efforts to retrieve the bodies of martyrs that the rescue teams were previously unable to reach.

Israeli daily Haaretz quoted sources who attended the Israeli cabinet meeting on Thursday evening, stating that the Israeli government has authorized the ongoing deployment of the army along the Philadelphi route in the southern Gaza Strip, as part of a potential agreement for the release of Israeli captives.

Haaretz added that eight members of the cabinet endorsed this decision, while Defense Minister Yoav Galant opposed the move, and Itamar Ben-Gvir, the far-right politician and National Security Minister, abstained.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said there are no security concerns regarding the withdrawal from the route.

Ministers who attended the meeting claimed that remaining at the Philadelphi route in Gaza “would enhance the likelihood of a hostage agreement,” alleging that the move would “compel Hamas to make concessions, similar to its previous compromise regarding ending the war.”

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, claimed that the October 7 attacks would not have happened if Israel had more control over the region, and could have also stopped the smuggling of weapons into the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, government officials asserted in the cabinet meeting that an analysis conducted by Israeli experts indicates that “the majority of Israeli captives in Gaza were killed within the first six months of the conflict, rather than in the subsequent months.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, among them 68 slain Palestinians and 77 wounded were moved to hospital, while many remained under the rubble.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed more than 40.602 Palestinians, including 16.589 children and 11.207 women, and injured at least 93.855, mostly children, women, and elderly, in addition to the thousands who remain under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, on destroyed streets and in alleys, the streets, while rescue teams have been unable to reach them.
