Israeli forces continued their relentless assault on the entire Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip for the 342nd straight day on Wednesday September 12, 2024, killing at least 40 people in multiple bombings in different parts of the Gaza Strip.
The Middle East Monitor reported that Israel has killed another six United Nations humanitarian workers in a strike on a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in the Occupation’s latest attack on both civilians and UN staff in its ongoing offensive.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces launched a strike on the Al-Jaouni school in Gaza’s Nuseirat Refugee Camp area, killing at least 18 people and flattening part of the UN-run facility which houses around 12,000 displaced people, most of whom are women and children.
Amongst those killed in the strike – the fifth attack on the school since the start of the Israeli offensive eleven months ago – were six staff members of the UN’s Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), consisting of the shelter manager and five other personnel.
Six Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Thursday evening in Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
A correspondent with the Wafa news agency reported that 6 Palestinians from one family were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation bombed the Shahin family’s house in the Nuseirat camp, in addition to bombing two houses belonging to the Al-Ajez and Al-Shaer families in the camp.
Five Palestinians, including three children, were injured when the Israeli occupation bombed the Al-Hour family’s house in the camp.
Medical sources reported that the death toll since dawn Wednesday has risen to 40, in the ongoing Israeli occupation attacks on various parts of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, three Palestinians were killed in the occupation’s bombing of the Hassan family’s house in the Bir Na’ja area, north of the Gaza Strip. Two Palestinians were killed in bombing by occupation drones south of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Three Palestinians were injured when the occupation targeted a group of citizens in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis. They were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital. The body of a martyr was also recovered from the vicinity of the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, east of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and was transferred to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.
Local sources reported that two citizens were killed and others were injured in an attack by Israeli drones on a group of citizens near the Al-Shati camp market, west of Gaza.

Most of the children who have died of starvation are special needs and disabled children who require special diets. Their parents have tried desperately to get the necessary nutrition to their children, but the Israeli siege has prevented even the most basic foodstuffs from entering the Gaza Strip.

A new analysis conducted by the World Health Organization found that at least a quarter of the Palestinian casualties in the Gaza war suffer from life-changing injuries that require rehabilitation services for years to come, amid the continued destruction of the health system in the Strip .
The organization said in a report on the results of the analysis issued today, Thursday, that severe limb injuries – estimated at between 13,455 and 17,550 – are the main factor in the need for rehabilitation, including a large number of amputations .
The analysis focuses only on new infections in Gaza since last October, but the World Health Organization pointed out that tens of thousands of Palestinians there were already living with chronic conditions and pre-existing disabilities, putting their lives at great risk due to the lack of appropriate services .
The organization reported that the large increases in spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and major burns contribute to the increase in the total number of people with life-changing injuries, which includes thousands of women and children .
The World Health Organization noted that the only limb reconstruction and rehabilitation center in Gaza, located in the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip, became unusable last December due to a shortage of supplies and the forced departure of specialized health workers in search of safety, and then was later damaged after the hospital was stormed last February .
The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression, by land, sea and air, on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the killing of at least 41,118 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 95,125 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
