On Sunday, day 401 of the ongoing Israeli genocide against the entire population of 2.2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Israeli airstrikes continued to massacre civilians, including an airstrike in Jabalia that killed 36 Palestinians, 15 of whom were children.

Two Palestinians were killed and others were injured Sunday night, as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a tent for displaced people in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing Israeli military escalation and aggression targeting residential areas and crowded centers in the Strip.
A similar bombing Sunday evening resulted in the death of four Palestinians, including a child, and the injury of others in the Nuseirat camp and Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City.
Al-Awda Hospital in North Gaza reported that 19 injured people were transferred from the hospital to hospitals in Gaza City, through the International Committee of the Red Cross, in light of the genocide and ethnic cleansing that the governorate has been witnessing for more than a month.
The hospital administration said in a statement: “19 injured people were transferred from the hospital to hospitals in Gaza City in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Palestinian Red Crescent.”
Kamal Adwan Hospital urgently called for the provision of basic supplies and ambulance services, in addition to lifting the siege on northern Gaza, stating that “cases of malnutrition and famine have begun to appear in the region, and northern Gaza is being subjected to a war of extermination, and we are suffering as a result of the deliberate silence on the crimes committed against us.”
These bombings come at a time when the Gaza Strip is witnessing a severe shortage of medical resources and basic humanitarian supplies, which increases the suffering of citizens and weakens the ability to provide first aid to the injured or to rescue those trapped under the rubble.
Northern Gaza has been completely cut off for over a month, since October 5th, with an estimated 400,000 Palestinians stuck without access to food, water or medicine. This past Tuesday, Israeli Brigadier General Itzik Cohen told Israeli reporters that since troops had been forced to enter some areas twice, such as Jabalia camp, “there is no intention of allowing the residents of the northern Gaza Strip to return to their homes”.
As reported by The Guardian, he added that humanitarian aid would be allowed to “regularly” enter the south of the territory but not the north, since there are “no more civilians left”.
Senior Israeli military officials recently told the Israeli daily Haaretz that the government is aiming to annex large parts of the territory.
One of the most dangerous strategies employed by Israel as part of its genocide and plan to empty northern Gaza of its Palestinian residents is the targeting of shelters where they seek refuge from systematic attacks on their homes and neighbourhoods.
In this infographic, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor documents the Israeli army’s targeting of shelters 65 times over a span of three months, with a peak escalation during the current month of October, following the Israeli army’s announcement of a “new phase of war” and the issuance of new orders for the forced displacement of residents in northern Gaza.
The preliminary death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has reached 43,603 killed and 102,929 wounded, most of them women and children. Reports also indicate that there are thousands of victims who are still trapped under the rubble or in the streets, where it is impossible to reach them due to the ongoing bombing.
Among the slain Palestinians are at least 17,289 children, 11,815 women, 2,421 elderly people, 183 journalists, 85 emergency responders, 986 medical staff, and 203 UNRWA staff.
The British Lancet Medical Journal and other experts estimate the death toll in Gaza is much higher – and could be above 200,000, when counting both direct and indirect deaths related to the Israeli war on Gaza.
This most recent escalation of Israel’s ongoing military occupation of Palestine began October 7th 2023 when 1,143 Israelis were killed, including 767 civilians and 376 armed soldiers. Around 500 Israeli soldiers have been killed between October 7th and now – both in Gaza and on the Israeli border with Lebanon.

36 citizens, including 15 children, were killed on Sunday, while a number of others are still missing, in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that the occupation warplanes bombed a house crowded with residents and displaced persons belonging to the “Alloush” family in the Jabalia al-Balad area.
The bombing led to the complete destruction of the house, and 36 bodies were recovered, including 15 children, in addition to a large number of injured people, who were transferred to the Baptist Hospital, while a number of missing persons are still under the rubble of the destroyed house.
In an unofficial tally, the number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023 has risen to about 43,603 martyrs, and 102,929 wounded, the majority of whom are women and children, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, where they cannot be reached.
