On Day 432, Wednesday, the Israeli forces continue their aggression against the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air, since October 7th 2023, killing 44,805 citizens, the majority of them women and children, and wounding 106,257 others. Thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, where ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.

The United Nations General Assembly adopted, Wednesday evening, two resolutions to support the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. A draft resolution for “Supporting the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East” was supported by 159 countries, in exchange for 9 objections and 11 abstentions, while a draft resolution to “Call for a ceasefire in Gaza” was supported by 158 countries, in exchange for 9 objections and 13 abstentions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed its deep appreciation to the countries that sponsored and supported the resolutions and voted in their favor, reflecting an ongoing commitment to the United Nations Charter, principles of justice, human rights, and international law.

Irish Foreign Minister, Michael Martin, announced that the Irish government had agreed to join the International Court of Justice case brought by South Africa against Israel under the Genocide Convention, and the intervention would be made in The Hague later this month. Martin said: “There was a collective punishment for the Palestinian people by the Israeli military actions in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of 44,000 people and the displacement of millions of civilians”.

Five citizens were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, Deir al-Balah, and the town of Zawaida in central Gaza Strip. Eye witnesses reported that the Israeli planes bombed a house in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, killing four citizens and wounding 16 others. They also reported that the citizen Muhammad Zakaria Al-Louh was killed, and others wounded, as a result of an Israeli bombing targeting a group of citizens near Deir al-Balah Preparatory School, which houses displaced people. One child was also killed and another wounded in an Israeli bombing targeting a house in the town of Al-Zawaida, in the middle of the Strip.

 

The United Nations stated today that one of its top priorities is to deliver relief aid to the Gaza Strip, and pointed out problems in coordination, supply, and security situation. The Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Muhanad Hadi, said at a press conference: “Delivering aid to the Gaza Strip is one of our top priorities, and we continue our partnership with citizens until the crisis ends”. He also explained that they are trying to deal with the challenges they face during the delivery of aid, from coordination and supply operations and the security situation in Gaza.

Nine citizens, including a journalist, were killed in an Israeli bombing of several areas in the Gaza Strip. Local sources reported the death of five citizens, including journalist Iman Al-Shanti, her husband, and her three children, as a result of an Israeli bombing of an apartment building in Al-Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City. Moreover, a citizen was killed in an Israeli airstrike of  Al-Maghazi refugee camp, and another citizen was killed after the bombing of a phone charging point east of the city of Deir Al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, while two citizens were killed in a bombing of Al-Mawasi area west of the city of Rafah.

 

22 citizens, including children and women, were killed in a massacre committed by the Israeli forces, early dawn Wednesday, in the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip. Israeli planes bombed a house for Abu Tarabish family in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the north of the Strip, a multi-story apartment building inhabited by about 30 displaced people, which was completely leveled by an Israeli airstrike. Others either killed or wounded are still under the rubble, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
