On Tuesday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued a report that the Israeli occupation authorities kill a child every hour in the Gaza Strip.

The agency added in a statement issued on Tuesday: “There is no place for children. Since the beginning of the war, 14,500 children have been reported killed in Gaza, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).”

“A child is killed every hour. These are not just numbers, they are lives cut short,” the report continued.

UNRWA confirmed that there is no justification for killing children in the Gaza Strip, and that all the children who survived “were left with physical and psychological scars.”

The organization pointed out that children are deprived of education, as “boys and girls in Gaza spend their time searching through the rubble.”

“Time is running out for these children,”  they warned. “They are losing their lives, their futures and most of their hopes.”

Last July, UNRWA said, “Children in the Gaza Strip face tragedy and trauma every day.”

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces have continued their aggression on Gaza from land, sea and air, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 45,338 citizens and the injury of 107,764 others, including a large number of children and women.

The numbers are expected to rise in light of the presence of thousands of missing people under the rubble, while rescue teams face enormous difficulties in reaching all affected areas.
