On Thursday, Day 468 of the ongoing genocide, the Israeli army continued bombing and shelling various parts of the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including many children and women.
In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home in the Nazla junction area, in the western part of the city, killing five Palestinians, including two children and two women, and causing several injuries.
The army also fired a missile at the Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah, in Gaza’s southernmost part, killing at least two Palestinians and causing several injuries.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, the army fired many artillery shells at areas in Abasan Al-Kabira town, east of the city, while an Israeli drone fired live rounds, wounding one Palestinian.
In Gaza City, the army fired a missile at a home near Tareq Bin Ziad Mosque, in the Sheja’iyya neighborhood, east of the city, killing Ahmad Yasser Al-Qarem and Bassam Hatham Al-Batneeji.
Also, the army fired missiles and shells at homes in Jaffa Street, northeast of Gaza city, killing and wounding many Palestinians, while medics and rescue teams remain unable to enter the bombarded area.
The army also fired a missile at Palestinians, west of Gaza city, killing three Palestinians and wounding many.
It is worth mentioning that the army fired many missiles at the Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, and several surrounding areas.
Medical sources said the Israeli army killed at least 90 Palestinians over the last 24 hours, including 21 children and 25 women. Seven Palestinians were killed in Khan Younis, four in central Gaza, and 66 in Gaza City, while more than 250, including many children and women, have been injured.
It is worth mentioning that a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal was reached on January 15 and is set to take effect on Sunday, January 19.
Tom Fletcher, the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator, stated that humanitarian agencies are mobilizing supplies to scale up aid delivery across the Gaza Strip in preparation for the ceasefire.

The UN official urged the protection of civilians and civil infrastructure and called for safe and unhindered access for relief workers to those in need, removing all obstacles to the entry of essential assistance.
He also called on the Security Council to use its collective voice and weight to ensure that the ceasefire is sustainable, respect human rights, and remove barriers to life-saving efforts.
In turn, the UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said that the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) continues to receive reports of casualties among Palestinians due to the ongoing (Israeli) bombardment of Gaza.

He mentioned that the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners facilitated the medical evacuation of twelve patients and around 30 companions from Gaza yesterday.
The patients, most of whom suffer from cancer and immune disorders, will receive treatment in Albania, France, Norway, and Romania.
The WHO stated that it is urgent for more countries to come forward to receive additional patients for specialized treatment as the “ceasefire agreement” is implemented.
More than 12,000 patients are awaiting medical evacuation outside Gaza, where the healthcare sector has been heavily damaged after more than 15 months of genocide by the Israeli occupation.
The World Food Program (WFP) stated that it has 80,000 tons of food outside Gaza or on its way to the strip, enough to feed over a million people.
The program added that the “ceasefire brings hope,” but emphasized the need to ensure unrestricted movement for humanitarian teams and aid to reach those in need.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that over 1,070 health workers continue to operate in medical centers, temporary clinics, and health points across Gaza, providing more than 16,000 medical consultations daily.

UNRWA’s medical teams also provide specialized support to patients. On the 11th of this month, these teams provided care to nearly 1,100 pregnant and postpartum women with critical conditions, in addition to dental and oral health services for about 600 patients and physical therapy for more than 300 patients.
Israel has now killed at least 46,788 Palestinians, including at least 17,841 children and 12,298 women, and injured more than 110,453, in addition to thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble.
