On Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, the 662nd day of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the Ministry of Health in the Strip announced that the death toll from Israeli aggression has exceeded 60,000 since October 7, 2023. According to the Ministry, women and children account for more than 47 percent of the casualties. On Wednesday alone, 104 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, and 399 injured.

The official death toll from the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip has risen to 60,138 killed and 146,269 wounded since October 7, 2023.

Medical sources reported on Wednesday that the death toll includes 8,970 killed and 34,228 wounded since March 18, when the Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip following the ceasefire agreement.

Over the past 24 hours, 60 civilians have been shot to death while trying to obtain food for their families at so-called ‘aid distribution’ sites, with more than 195 injured. This brings the total number of “livelihood” deaths since May 27th to 1,239, with more than 8,152 injured.

Medical sources in Gaza have confirmed the death of seven Palestinians, including a child, due to starvation over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of Palestinians who have died from malnutrition to 154, including 89 children.

Update 11:55 pm:

Inside Nasser Hospital in Gaza, the scene is one of unbearable horror.

The facility resembles a slaughterhouse more than a place of healing—bodies of the killed Palestinians lie in rows, victims of a massacre that claimed 80 lives, 56 of them in one deadly attack.

Every corridor and corner is filled with wounded civilians sprawled on the ground, receiving treatment without beds, equipment, or even space.

Pools of blood stain the floors as overwhelmed medical staff, physically and emotionally drained, struggle to keep going:

A number of citizens were killed and 30 others were injured, most of them seriously, by Israeli occupation forces’ fire near aid centers in several areas in the Gaza Strip.

Our correspondent reported that a number of aid recipients were killed and others injured near a center south of Khan Yunis.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s Al-Saraya Field Hospital reported that 30 injured people arrived at the hospital among those waiting for aid in the northwest Beit Lahia area in the northern Gaza Strip.

Quds News reports:

The reality in Gaza amid Israeli-imposed starvation and siege, starving Palestinian women and children desperately crowd around public soup kitchens, clutching empty containers in hopes of securing a small portion of food.

Despite claims of allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza, Israeli occupation forces continue to restrict access, forcing aid trucks onto perilous routes where they are often looted by affiliated gangs.

Those attempting to safeguard and deliver the aid to international organizations are also frequently targeted by the occupation.

Israeli aircraft bombed a displacement tent in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing 3 Palestinians and injuring over 15.

Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians have been reported at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City following a horrific massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces against aid seekers in the northwest of the Gaza Strip.

Outrageous footage released by Israeli sources exposes extremist occupation soldiers celebrating with cruel delight as they detonate Palestinian homes in the Saudi neighborhood of western Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

Update 12:21 pm:

The Health Ministry said hospitals received the corpses of sixteen slain Palestinians, including thirteen who were killed near food distribution centers, in addition to dozens of injuries. The figures only include those who were transferred to hospitals.

In Gaza City, a Palestinian father, Nassif Jamal Dahdouh, succumbed to serious wounds sustained the previous day when the army bombarded his home in the Nadim area of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, instantly killing his five children.

Also, two Palestinian civilians were killed, and others wounded, by Israeli gunfire while waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.

Also in central Gaza, a source at Al-Awda Hospital said the medical center received the body of a child killed when Israeli forces bombarded homes in the New Camp, north of Nuseirat. The child’s body was found under the rubble of the destroyed home.

In Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city, the Palestinian Civil Defense reported that its medics evacuated six slain Palestinians and more than 70 wounded, including women and children, after Israeli soldiers targeted them near an aid distribution center in the Al-Shakoush area, northwest of the city.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said most of the wounded Palestinians suffered life-threatening injuries, denouncing the continued deliberate targeting of hungry civilians seeking food and basic aid.

In a further escalation, Israeli artillery shelled the western area of Khan Younis, while ground forces continued wiring and detonating homes and buildings in the same district.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reports indicate that the country’s security establishment is currently evaluating what it termed “alternative strategies” following the conclusion of the “Gideon’s Chariots” operation, which failed to yield progress on the issue of Israeli captives.

Among the options under consideration are extreme measures, including the imposition of full military rule over Gaza or the annexation of territory. One of the most severe proposals involves placing the entire population centers in Gaza under siege and cutting off all access to food and water, by land and air.

The Director of Medical Relief in Gaza has issued a stark warning about the rapidly deteriorating health conditions, stressing that the situation for pregnant women has become catastrophic amid continued aggression and blockade.

He added that hospitals and health centers face a complete shortage of essential medical supplies required to care for newborns, placing their lives at risk from the moment of birth.

The Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex announced that Gaza has entered phase three of famine, an advanced and life-threatening stage characterized by severe malnutrition and organ failure.

Concurrently, the World Food Programme (WFP) confirmed that Gaza has surpassed two out of three thresholds that define famine, warning that large-scale starvation is imminent unless aid access improves immediately.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) criticized the airdrops of humanitarian aid over Gaza, saying that while they generate media attention, they have no meaningful impact on the ground.

The agency emphasized the urgency of allowing direct land access, noting that thousands of aid trucks remain stalled and awaiting entry.

This grim update comes amid worsening conditions: food and clean water are increasingly scarce, hospitals are on the verge of collapse, and child mortality due to hunger-related causes is rising.

UNRWA reiterated that access to clean water in Gaza remains a daily challenge for residents, particularly children, who are forced to wait in long queues under the scorching sun to secure even the most basic water needs.

The agency stressed that the humanitarian crisis is intensifying by the day, as the international community continues to observe the unfolding tragedy in silence, without meaningful action to end the catastrophe.

In the United Kingdom, a spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s office said Prime Minister Keir Starmer reaffirmed to Benjamin Netanyahu the UK’s “unwavering support for Israel and its claimed right to self-defense.”

On his part, British MP Jeremy Corbyn told Al-Jazeera that the time has come for the international community to take a firm stance against Israel.

He condemned the export of weapons to a state accused of committing genocide, stating that no country should be permitted to do so.

Corbyn denounced the unchecked authority granted to Israel, describing it as a de facto veto to act without accountability, and urged the UK government to make a clear and public commitment to recognizing the State of Palestine, calling it a necessary step toward justice and peace.

Israel has now killed at least 60,034 Palestinians, 47 percent of them children and women, and injured more than 145,870 across the devastated coastal enclave since October 7, 2023.
