UPDATED FROM:

12:56 PM REPORT

At least 17 Palestinians, and dozens of injuries, were killed in Israeli airstrikes since before dawn Thursday.

Emergency medical teams confirmed that several Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid were shot by Israeli forces in central and southern Gaza.

Among the dead were civilians targeted in areas such as Al-Jala’ and Sheikh Radwan in northern Gaza City.

Israeli warplanes bombed homes in multiple neighborhoods, including Yaffa Street in at-Tuffah, Tal al-Hawa in southwest Gaza City, and Zawaida in central Gaza, where 12 people were killed and others wounded in a strike on the Abu Dahrouj family home, which was sheltering displaced civilians. Several individuals remain missing under the rubble.

Furthermore, sources at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza said two Palestinians were killed, and several others injured, in an Israeli bombing of the Nafaq area, northwest of the city.

The sources added that at least one Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in renewed bombing of Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood.

In central Gaza, Israeli helicopters launched attacks on Al-Bureij refugee camp, while airstrikes hit homes belonging to the Qatrawi family in Nuseirat refugee Camp and the Abdel Aal family in Al-Tuffah, causing multiple injuries.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, at least four Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli forces bombed the Wadi family home near the Jordanian field hospital.

Another civilian was killed by a drone strike in the Saqiya area of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis. Emergency services also confirmed that farmers were shot by Israeli forces south of Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military acknowledged the death of a staff sergeant from the Nahal Brigade, reportedly shot by a Palestinian sniper while overseeing a guard post in northern Gaza.

He is the second soldier killed in combat this week, bringing the total number of Israeli military deaths to over 900 since the invasion began in October 2023.

Politically, international condemnation continues to mount. Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, speaking at the UN General Assembly, declared: “What is happening in Gaza—the killing of tens of thousands and the deliberate starvation of civilians—is nothing short of genocide.”

He condemned Israel’s aggression across all Palestinian territories and reaffirmed Kuwait’s rejection of settlement expansion and forced displacement policies.

He also “praised mediation efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States aimed at securing a ceasefire”.

In a show of solidarity, Italy’s Defense Minister Guido Crosetto announced the deployment of a second naval frigate to escort the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is carrying humanitarian aid and international activists to Gaza.

Italy and Spain had already pledged warships to protect the flotilla, which has come under repeated drone attacks in international waters.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has warned the flotilla to stay out of Gaza’s waters, vowing to block any attempt to breach the naval siege.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed at least 65,419 Palestinians and wounded 167,160—most of them children, women, and the elderly. Thousands more remain buried beneath the rubble.
