Updated: On Thursday, Day 727 of the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued their campaign of bombardment, home demolitions, and enforced starvation, while maintaining a blockade on humanitarian aid, killing at least 65 Palestinians and wounding dozens across the starved, besieged and destroyed coastal enclave.
Medical sources said that 65 people who were killed were taken to Gaza Strip hospitals since before dawn on Thursday, with bullets and shelling by the Israeli occupation army in several areas in the Strip, including 8 people killed while seeking aid for their starving families.
The Health Ministry added in a statement that 13 bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Medical Hospital, 6 to Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital, 1 to Al-Awda Hospital, 16 to Al-Aqsa Hospital, and 29 to Nasser Hospital.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 66,225 citizens in the Gaza Strip, the majority of whom were children and women, and injured 168,938 others, according to the latest toll issued by Gaza hospitals.
Children broke down in tears after going out to fetch water, only to return and find thick smoke rising from their school in Gaza City, a shelter for them and their families, after it was attacked by the Israeli occupation army.
Entire families have been wiped out since the morning in the relentless Israeli bombardment that has struck Gaza from north to south.
Israel committed a horrific massacre against Civil Defense teams. Israeli aircrafts struck civil defense teams as they carried out rescue operations for the wounded inside Al-Falah School in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, two days ago.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Health strongly condemned the abduction of nurse Tasneem Marwan Al-Hums, daughter of Dr. Marwan Al-Hums, the detained Director of Field Hospitals in the Gaza Strip, by a special Israeli unit while she was on her way to work at a medical point in Khan Younis this morning.
The Ministry stated, “This attack constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the protection afforded to medical personnel. We hold the Israeli occupation fully responsible for her safety, demand disclosure of her fate, and call on the international community to urgently intervene to stop these violations and ensure the protection of healthcare workers and their families.”
UNRWA has warned that Israel’s labeling of roughly 250,000 civilians still trapped in Gaza City and northern Gaza as “terrorists or terror supporters” signals preparations for large-scale massacres.
Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini condemned the rhetoric, saying it amounts to intent to kill “women, children, elderly and vulnerable people unable to move out.”
On October 1, Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened: “This is the last opportunity for Gaza residents who wish to do so to move south. Those who remain in Gaza will be considered terrorists and terror supporters.”
Child rescued from under the rubble:
A number of citizens were injured, including critically and seriously, as a result of the Israeli occupation army bombing areas in Gaza and Khan Yunis.
A citizen was critically injured, and a child was slightly injured, as a result of an occupation drone bombing near Al-Qubba Mosque in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and a series of raids targeted the vicinity of Land of Lemon in the area.
The occupation forces also bombed a residential apartment near the families’ bakery on Al-Wahda Street, and aircraft launched a series of raids on the Beach Camp, specifically in the vicinity of the “Ghaban” Café, west of Gaza City, resulting in several injuries among citizens.

According to family sources, the unit infiltrated a medical point in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, where they kidnapped Tasneem.

The ministry emphasized that without urgent guarantees of safety, medical services risk total collapse, leaving thousands without care amid one of the worst humanitarian crises in the region’s history.

He emphasized the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian operations, noting that many aid workers have been forced to suspend their missions due to the deteriorating security conditions.
