Updated: On day 78 of the Israeli onslaught on the civilian population of the densely populated Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells struck hundreds of homes and buildings, killing and wounding hundreds of Palestinians, mostly women and children.
Update: Late Saturday night, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said the Israeli missiles and shells have killed 201 Palestinians and injured at least 368 in the Gaza Strip, in less that twenty-four hours.
The Health Ministry added that Israeli has now killed 20.258 Palestinians, including 8200 children, 6200 women, 375 medical staff, including doctors, nurses, medics and Civil Defense volunteers, and at least 100 journalists, and injured at least 53.688 in the coastal region since October 7. More than %70 of the slain and wounded Palestinians are women and children.
More than 7000 Palestinians, %70 of them are children and women, remain either buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, or their fate and location is unknown due to the intensity of the Israeli bombing and shelling.
In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza Strip, the army killed at least three Palestinians and wounded dozens, after firing missiles and shells at home in the Japanese neighborhood in the city.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said a child, Amir Rami Odah, 13, was killed in the Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis, when an Israeli drone fired live rounds at it.
Furthermore, at least three Palestinians were killed in the area of Abu Hmeid Junction, in the center of Khan Younis, after the army fired missiles into the area.
Israeli missiles and shells also killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in several parts of Khan Younis.
In Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, Israeli missiles killed more than six Palestinians, and injured dozens, in addition to scores of civilians who remain buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings.

In Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, the army fired a shell at a home, wounding a pregnant woman.
Many Palestinians, including several children, were killed by Israeli missiles in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, Israeli missiles struck a home for the Abu Shaweesh family, killing three Palestinians, including one woman, and wounding many Palestinians.
Many Palestinians, including several children and women, were also killed and injured when the army fired missiles at homes in Zawaida area, in addition to six who were killed in a home for the Abu ‘Asfa family in Deir Al-Balah
Furthermore, eyewitnesses said Israeli snipers killed a child, Hisham Hamza Alwan, in front of her mother who was also shot near a school in Jabalia town, in northern Gaza.
Also in Jabalia, Israeli soldiers fatally shot a child, Hisham Hamza Alwan, in front of his mother who was injured by an Israeli sniper in front of the Rafe’ey School.
A Palestinian child, Fadi Khaled Shahin, died in his mother’s arms, after a shrapnel from an Israeli artillery shell that was fired at his home in Jabalia town, struck him in the neck and the chest, causing excessive bleeding.
In addition, Israeli soldiers stormed the home of Ahmad Al-Khalidi and fatally shot him while he was sleeping in his bed, shot his seven-month pregnant wife, Fatima, who was recovering from previous wounds, and was left bleeding until she died, and also shot their child, Faisal, who is currently in the hospital, while his brother Adam was unharmed.
A Palestinian journalist, the deputy-director of the Al-Ray Palestinian News Agency, Ahmad Jamal Al-Madhoun, was killed in an Israeli bombing in northern Gaza. His death brings the number of slain journalists by Israeli missiles and shells to 101.
In addition, an Israeli army sharpshooter killed a Palestinian journalist, Mohammad Abu Howeidi, east of Gaza City, bringing the number of slain journalists to at least 100.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said its fighters are exchanging fire with invading soldiers and tanks in several parts of the Gaza Strip, and managed to destroy several Israeli tanks and armored vehicles using Yassin anti-fortification missile (TBG), designed to target armored vehicles and Israeli forces fortifying inside buildings in Gaza.
The Al-Qassam Brigades added it believes five of the Israelis on October 7 were likely killed, Saturday, after its lost contact with the fighters who are responsible for them.
Al-Qassam also confirmed it killed and injured many Israeli soldiers in various parts of the coastal region.
The Israeli army said five of its soldiers were killed and 44 were injured by Palestinian fighters in several parts of the Gaza Strip, Saturday.

The Israeli army also bombed an apartment owned by Fahed Al-Assar near the Ihsan Mosque in the Nusseirat refugee camp.
Israeli missiles also struck the home of a Palestinian journalist, Mohammad Sa’idi, in the refugee camp, killing him, his wife, and three of their children.
Many buildings and homes were also bombarded in the Al-Mighraqa and Az-Zahra’ areas in central Gaza, causing many casualties.
Dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured when the army bombarded homes and buildings in Deir Al-Balah city in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, Israeli missiles and shells killed at least 42 Palestinians and injured dozens, in addition to causing damage to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) building, where dozens of families sheltered.
At least four Palestinians were killed, and many were injured by Israeli missiles in the Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis, in addition to many casualties in a series of Israeli air strikes and bombings in Bani Soheila town, east of Khan Younis.
Furthermore, the army fired a missile at the home of Essam Al-Mughrabi in Gaza City, killing him and his family. Essam worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Israeli missiles also killed Rezeq Al-Orouq, the secretary-general of the Popular Resistance Movement, and several members of his family after the army bombarded his home in Gaza City.
In the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, the army fired missiles at homes, killing at least nine Palestinians from the Al-Khalidi family and wounding many others.
In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army bombarded the home of Khamis Jneid, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.
Media sources said the corpses of dozens of Palestinians remain in the streets of Tal Az-Za’atar in Jabalia after the army prevented the Palestinian medics from reaching it and bulldozed the Indonesian Hospital streets while invading the area.
Hundreds of Palestinians, who were trapped in homes and buildings in Jabalia for at least three days, managed to leave the area, trying to reach Gaza City.
On its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said its fighters destroyed five Israeli tanks in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.
The brigades stated that its fighters repurposed an unexploded 2-ton Israeli missiles that army fired at homes and used them to detonate the Israeli tanks.
It is worth mentioning that UNICEF said the ongoing war in Gaza “is having a catastrophic impact on children and families. Children are dying at an alarming rate – more than 5,000 have reportedly been killed and thousands more injured. Well over 1.7 million people in the Gaza Strip have been displaced – half of them children. They do not have enough access to water, food, fuel, and medicine. Their homes have been destroyed; their families torn apart.
It added: “Without sufficient safe water, food, and sanitation, child deaths due to disease could surpass those already killed in bombardments. To protect children in Gaza, UNICEF is calling for an immediate and long-lasting humanitarian ceasefire.”
“Recently displaced children in southern Gaza are accessing only 1.5 to 2L of water each day, well below the minimum for survival. Without safe water, many more children will die from deprivation and disease. UNICEF calls for unimpeded humanitarian access to reach children.”
It added that more than %80 of Gaza Children suffered severe malnutrition and that, within the coming few weeks, at least 10.000 children below the age of five will suffer life-threatening malnutrition.
Israeli missiles and shells have killed at least 20.057 Palestinians and injured more than 53.320, largely women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
