Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, earlier Thursday, breaking into homes, abducting dozens of Palestinians, and injuring several young men during confrontations in multiple areas.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city from its northern entrance, deployed across several neighborhoods, including the Naqqar and Shreim neighborhoods and Wadi Street, and broke into dozens of homes, searching and ransacking them.
Local sources reported that the soldiers abducted 17 Palestinians, among them the father of slain Palestinian, Mohammad Kamal Shreim, 18, along with his brothers Bara’ and Aboud, as well as Dr. Yasser Hammad and Abdullah Shreim.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers killed Mohammad on Monday while he was near a military roadblock north of Qalqilia.
Sixteen of the abducted were identified as Mousa Sawi, Bara’ and Aboud al‑Baz, Omar and Aboud Harb, Sameh Afaneh, Waleed Jibreel, Omar Qaraqe’, Bara’ Hammad, Islam Shreim, Yasser Hammad, Omar Qashmar, Abdullah and Kamal Shreim, in addition to the minor Salah Nassoura and Murad Nofal.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli military vehicles invaded the eastern area of the city, the New Askar refugee camp, and several streets including Ta’awon Street and Street 10.
The soldiers broke into homes, searched them, and abducted two Palestinians: Emad Ba’ara from Middle Cooperation Street and Mohammad al‑Shakhshir from Street 10.
In the Jenin district in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Kafr Ra’ey southwest of the city, broke into several homes, and abducted former political prisoner Mansour Melhem.
Israeli forces also detained several young men in the town square, while a foot patrol entered the Cinema Roundabout area in central Jenin without conducting additional home invasions or abductions.
In the nearby town of Qabatia, soldiers broke into several homes during yet another invasion, part of the ongoing, repeated military campaigns across the occupied West Bank.
Late Wednesday night, Israeli soldiers shot two Palestinian young men with live ammunition during an Israeli invasion of the town of Arraba south of Jenin.
One of them sustained serious injuries, and both were transferred to a medical center for treatment.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the al‑Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron and abducted Anas Sharif al‑Teeti.
Separately, a young man was shot and injured at dawn during an Israeli invasion of the town of Beit Ula west of Hebron.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Rafat west of Salfit and abducted Hussein Emad Jouda.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the Qalandia refugee camp north of the city, broke into homes, and abducted Khaled Abu Lateefa and Mohammad Zawawi.
Three young men were injured during the invasion of the refugee camp’s main entrance, where soldiers deployed heavily and fired large quantities of stun grenades and tear gas at Palestinians.
One young man suffered gas inhalation injuries, while Palestinian Red Crescent teams reported receiving two additional cases of young men who were beaten by Israeli forces and transferred to hospital.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers began bulldozing and uprooting an area near the ar-Ram town junction, north of Jerusalem.
The invasion triggered intense confrontations inside the refugee camp. A fire broke out on the roof of a building due to the heavy use of tear gas near the camp’s entrance, while Israeli forces continued their presence in the area with multiple military vehicles.
