Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday evening shot dead a 35‑year‑old Palestinian man and wounded a child in separate incidents across the Gaza Strip, underscoring the collapse of the ceasefire agreement announced in October.

Medical sources confirmed that the man was killed by an Israeli sniper in the al‑Atatra area of Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.

In a separate incident, a child was struck by live fire inside displacement tents east of Deir al‑Balah in central Gaza.

Hospitals also reported receiving one additional fatality and six wounded in the past 24 hours.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, a young man was injured when an unexploded ordnance left by Israeli forces detonated in the al‑Mawasi area.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes and artillery continued to strike residential districts across Gaza City, Rafah, and Khan Younis.

Quds News Network reported at 10:14 a.m. that Israeli aircraft launched a strike “inside the yellow line” east of Khan Younis.

Minutes later, at 10:17 a.m., Quds confirmed that an Israeli military helicopter opened fire on areas in Rafah, in the Strip’s southernmost part.

Correspondents for WAFA and Maan News said Israeli forces detonated several residential buildings east of Jabalia and in Beit Lahia, while warplanes carried out strikes on eastern Gaza City.

Artillery units shelled areas east of Khan Younis, and armored vehicles opened fire north of Rafah.

Witnesses reported that occupation forces demolished an entire residential block in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, with explosions shaking the city and smoke visible across the central and southern Strip.

The Israeli army has intensified the destruction of homes and civilian buildings across all areas it fully occupies in Gaza, which constitute at least 58 percent of the coastal enclave, as military leaders move to maintain these zones under permanent Israeli military control.

Al‑Jazeera Arabic noted that Israeli forces have carried out hundreds of ceasefire violations in recent weeks, including sniper fire, bombardments, and invasions.

Arabs48 highlighted that naval vessels also opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis, while artillery targeted farmland and displacement camps.

Humanitarian agencies warn that the situation is worsening as winter storms batter displacement camps.

UNRWA reported thousands of tents destroyed by flooding in Deir al‑Balah and Khan Younis, leaving families exposed to freezing temperatures without shelter or medicine.

Rights groups, including Amnesty International, stress that Israel’s actions constitute ongoing genocide, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to destroy Gaza’s population. Despite the ceasefire, Israel continues to restrict humanitarian aid and target civilian infrastructure.

Tuesday’s killing in Beit Lahia, the wounding of a child in Deir al‑Balah, and fresh airstrikes in Khan Younis and Rafah highlight the relentless nature of Israel’s ceasefire violations.

Since October 11, Israeli ceasefire breaches have killed 377 Palestinians and injured 987, with civil defense teams recovering 626 bodies from destroyed neighborhoods.

With more than 70,366 Palestinians killed and 171,064 injured since October 2023 — the majority children, women, and elders — Gaza remains under systematic bombardment, displacement, siege, and deprivation.
