Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said on Saturday that the cumulative number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army to 72,291, while the number of wounded has reached 172,068 since the assault began on October 7, 2023.

According to field reports, Israeli naval vessels opened heavy machine‑gun fire at dawn toward the tents of displaced families in the al‑Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, injuring two civilians

On Saturday, the Israeli army continued its violations of the “ceasefire” agreement for the 177th consecutive day, carrying out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip that left several Palestinians injured.

The Health Ministry said hospitals across the devastated coastal enclave received two Palestinians who were killed and 25 others who were injured during the past twenty‑four hours, as Israeli bombardment continues to strike residential areas and public spaces.

According to the same medical sources, the total number of Palestinians killed since the declared “ceasefire” on October 11, 2025, has climbed to 715, while the number of injuries has reached 1,968. Civil defense crews have also managed to recover 756 bodies from destroyed neighborhoods during this period.

The sources stressed that an unknown number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue teams are unable to reach many areas due to the extensive destruction, the lack of equipment, and the continued presence of Israeli military forces and attacks.

The rising toll reflects the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, where hospitals operate far beyond their capacity and face severe shortages of medical supplies, fuel, and essential equipment.

Medical teams continue to warn that without safe access and sustained humanitarian corridors, the number of casualties is likely to grow.
