The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals received 4 Palestinians killed and 12 wounded over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall toll of the genocide in the devastated coastal enclave to 72,289 killed and 172,040 injured since October 7, 2023.

In its latest update, the Ministry said a young man, Mohammad Fuad Abu Mohsin, succumbed to serious wounds at dawn, Wednesday, and added that Mohammad was seriously injured, Sunday, when the army bombarded a Palestinian police checkpoint in Mawasi Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, killing six Palestinians, including a girl and three police officers. They were among nine killed in Khan Younis on that day.

The ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under destroyed buildings and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli attacks and the absence of safe conditions for rescue operations.

Israeli Expansion and Worsening Humanitarian Conditions

Since the ceasefire announcement last October, the Israeli army has established seven new military sites along the line, with five prepared for long‑term operational use through leveling and paving works.

In the months that followed, Israeli forces expanded their presence beyond the official line, placing yellow concrete blocks, demolishing buildings, and displacing residents.

This has effectively compressed 2.1 million Palestinians into less than half of the area they lived in before the war, under increasingly harsh humanitarian conditions.

Casualties Since the Declared Ceasefire on October 11, 2025:

  • 713 Palestinians have been killed
  • 1,940 injured
  • 756 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble across the Gaza Strip

Cumulative Toll Since the Start of the Assault on October 7, 2023:

  • Palestinians killed: 72,289
  • Palestinians injured: 172,040

The ministry stressed that these figures reflect only those who reached hospitals, while the actual number of victims is higher given the severe restrictions on rescue access.
