Israeli forces shot a Palestinian woman and injured other citizens, on Saturday, after invading the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. Occupation forces continued to close the Old City of Hebron for the second consecutive day, while tens of thousands of illegal colonizers stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a 25-year-old woman to the hospital after she was shot in the head with a rubber-coated steel round.

Media sources reported that the army stormed Dura town and opened fire with tear gas canisters and concussion grenades towards citizens in the center of the town, causing several citizens to suffer inhalation injuries.

According to Aref Jaber, a local anti-settlement activist, Israeli soldiers continue to close all neighborhoods in the Old City of Hebron, obstruction citizens’ movement.

Media sources said that occupation forces closed the Old City of Hebron on Friday in order to facilitate the invasion of the Ibrahimi Mosque by illegal colonizers.

The sources added that the army continued the closure of the Old City to Palestinian citizens while allowing tens of thousands of settlers to storm the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Ibrahimi Square, under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
