On Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers demolished two agricultural structures and stole their contents in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while another group chased Palestinian residents and attempted to assault them in the town of Beit Ummar to the north, in the occupied West Bank’s southern region.
Activist Osama Makhamra said a group of colonizers from the “Havat Ma’on” illegal colony and the “Eschar Aman” outpost—both built on privately owned Palestinian land—invaded the Khallet Awwad area near Khirbet at‑Tuwani in Masafer Yatta.
Makhamra added that the colonizers demolished two agricultural shacks belonging to Ismael Makhamra and his son Hassan, and stole the structures along with the equipment stored inside.
In Beit Ummar, colonizers attacked residents in the Khirbet al‑Qet area south of the town and prevented them from accessing their farmland.
Local sources said the same group had seized part of the area three days earlier, set up a mobile home, and brought livestock onto the land, raising fears among residents that a new outpost is being established, which could lead to the confiscation of hundreds of dunams of privately owned Palestinian land.
Residents and local officials warn that these incidents reflect a broader pattern of escalating colonizer violence across the Hebron district, where colonizers—often operating under the protection of Israeli forces—have intensified attacks on farmers, shepherds, and rural communities in an effort to expand outposts and restrict Palestinian access to agricultural land.
