On Thursday, the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee reported that the Israeli Prison Authority moved hunger-striking detainee Kayed Al-Fasfous from Asqalan Prison to the Ramla prison clinic after 57 days of strike.

The Committee added that Al-Fasfous, 34, was held in solitary confinement in Asqalan before he was moved to the infamous Ramla prison clinic that lacks physicians and basic supplies.

The Committee stated that Al-Fasfous, from Doura town, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, started the hunger strike 57 days ago, protesting the ongoing administrative Detention without charges or trial.

Al-Fasfous has been repeatedly abducted and imprisoned by Israel, and in 2021, he held a hunger strike for 131 days and suspended it after reaching an agreement with the occupation authorities.
