On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinians gathered in the center of the town and marched while chanting for liberation, ending the illegal Israeli occupation and its colonialist activities.

The army invaded Kufur Qaddoum and assaulted the marchers, leading to protests, before many young men burnt tires and hurled stones at the invading forces.

The soldiers attacked the Palestinians with live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Medical sources have confirmed that the soldiers shot a journalist with a rubber-coated steel bullet and caused dozens of residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinians have held weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum since 2003, demanding the army to reopen the town’s main entrance, blockaded 19 years ago to allow easy access to illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim colony, built on stolen Palestinians.

Israeli colonists from the nearby illegal “Kedumin” settlement, established on illegally confiscated Palestinian lands, have full access to the street, while Palestinians are forced to take longer routes to Nablus city, the nearest major commercial center, causing undue hardship.

In related news, the army abducted two Palestinians, Firas Thiab and Ali Jamal Thiab, during the weekly procession against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities in Deir Istiya town west of Salfit in the central West Bank.
