Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, breaking into homes, abducting dozens of Palestinians, and installing military roadblocks in several towns, cities, and refugee camps.
In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded multiple neighborhoods and surrounding towns, breaking into homes, and abducting seven Palestinians, including three women from the same family.
Local sources said troops seized siblings Safwan Ahmad Kanaan, Abdullah Kanaan, and Israa Kanaan from the Ektaba suburb east of the city.
Soldiers also abducted Reem Kanaan after breaking into her home in the northern neighborhood of Tulkarem, and Asmahan Kanaan from her home in the town of Deir al‑Ghusoun north of the governorate.
The army further abducted former political prisoner Ahmad Al‑Matrouk after breaking into his home on Nablus Street, and Amjad Mohammad Sa’id Barhoush from his home in Kafr Al‑Lubbad east of Tulkarem.
Earlier, troops had abducted former political prisoner Ismail Rajab from the northern neighborhood before releasing him hours later.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces demolished an agricultural room belonging to resident Imad Al‑Ibtaili in the area of ‘Ezbet Jaloud, claiming it was built without a permit.
Also in Qalqilia, the soldiers stormed and ransacked homes before abducting a young man, former political prisoner, Mohammad Kharouf.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, the army conducted several simultaneous invasions. At dawn, troops invaded the village of Douma south of the city, turned a home into a military post, and abducted eleven Palestinians after interrogating them inside the building.
In the town of Burqa northwest of Nablus, soldiers continued a prolonged invasion that began before sunrise, breaking into numerous homes, ransacking their contents, and detaining several young men after seizing homes and converting them into field interrogation centers.
Two Palestinians were injured by live fire during an Israeli invasion of the Old City of Nablus. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its crews treated one person shot in the thigh and another wounded by shrapnel.
Local sources reported that several military vehicles invaded the city from the Huwwara military roadblock south of Nablus, roaming through multiple neighborhoods and firing live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas.
Dozens of soldiers also invaded Beit Furik, east of Nablus, before storming and ransacking many homes and buildings.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces carried out multiple invasions throughout the day. Troops invaded the town of Zababda south of Jenin, broke into a home, turned it into an interrogation site, and detained several residents for field questioning while deploying infantry units across the town.
Soldiers also invaded the nearby village of Bir Al‑Basha, breaking into and searching numerous homes and detaining residents.
The army also occupied two homes in the town of Ya’bad south of Jenin, converting them into military posts.
Later Wednesday, Israeli forces invaded the center of Jenin city, deploying military vehicles along Abu Bakr Street and breaking into commercial shops. Troops continued their presence in Zababda, carrying out additional home invasions and detentions.
In the Qalandia refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces carried out one of the largest abduction campaigns of the day, seizing more than 28 Palestinians.
Those identified so far include Mohammad Abu Samra, Fadi Al‑Kasbah, Mohammad Hammad, Omran Sarsour, Islam Manasra, Laith Ammar, Naji Shehada, Ibrahim Al‑Shu’ani, brothers Osayd and Malek Mousa Rateb, Eyad Abzi’, Adham Abu Ghuwayla, Mohammad Izzat, in addition to Jamil Ya’qoub and his son.
The invasion triggered confrontations in which soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas, and concussion grenades, injuring at least one resident.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces installed a military roadblock on the Wadi Al‑Houd road between Al‑Zaim and Al‑‘Eizariya, stopping vehicles, searching them, and inspecting passengers’ identification cards. Another military roadblock was installed at the entrance of Al‑‘Isawiya northeast of the city.
Many military vehicles also invaded the town of Anata, north of Jerusalem, and closed several streets.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Beit Fajjar, deploying in several neighborhoods and breaking into multiple homes.
Troops also installed a military roadblock at the main western entrance to the Bethlehem countryside, causing severe traffic delays as soldiers searched vehicles and inspected residents’ identification cards.
In Salfit in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city of Salfit and the nearby village of Marda overnight, breaking into homes and conducting field interrogations.
In Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, four Palestinians were injured after Israeli soldiers assaulted them during an invasion of the town of Tammun. Troops broke into several homes before withdrawing.
Later in the day, soldiers abducted Mo’ath Radwan Tawfiq Daraghma, 25, from Tubas while he was working in Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley.
In Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a young man east of the village of Al‑Mughayyer, claiming he attempted to carry out a vehicular attack near the Khirbet Jib’it junction.
Local sources also reported that illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded a Palestinian agricultural structure belonging to residents of Al‑Mughayyer in the Khalla area, hours after an illegal colonial outpost erected earlier in the day was removed.
At dawn, Israeli forces also invaded the Al‑Jalazoun refugee camp north of Ramallah, breaking into a home and abducting 18‑year‑old Anas Al‑Hattab.
