Israeli occupation forces escalated their violations of the “ceasefire agreement,” in place since October 10, with heavy bombardments, airstrikes, and demolitions across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip on Monday. The assaults left one dead and many wounded, destroyed homes and neighborhoods, and forced institutions to suspend operations.

Medica sources in Gaza City said an Israeli military drone fired live rounds at Palestinians in the Zeitoun neighborhood, killing a young man, Mohammad Nasr Siyam.

Also in Gaza City, Israeli forces continued demolitions in al‑Shuja’iyya neighborhood, carrying out large‑scale destruction of homes on Sunday evening. Warplanes also struck eastern al‑Tuffah, adding to the devastation.

In central Gaza, the Israeli army fired several artillery shells at an area, east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

In Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city, Israeli artillery, and warplanes carried out repeated strikes in recent days, targeting tunnels and residential areas.

The army claimed to have killed “more than 40 fighters” in these operations. Medical sources confirmed the killing of Mohammad Hamad, son of Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad. Artillery fire also struck eastern Rafah, intensifying destruction in the area.

In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, the eastern districts inside the “yellow line” came under heavy artillery bombardment, combined with low‑flying helicopter gunfire.

On Monday morning, Israeli warplanes launched three airstrikes on the city’s eastern neighborhoods.

Gunfire also hit tents of displaced families near the Austrian neighborhood in western Khan Younis, injuring civilians.

In Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross, the al‑Qassam Brigades, and Egyptian mediators began searching for the body of an Israeli soldier inside the “yellow line.” The area has witnessed repeated strikes, with homes stormed and destroyed.

Politically, Hamas confirmed that negotiations through mediators over trapped al‑Qassam fighters in Rafah stalled after Israel imposed impossible conditions and backtracked on earlier proposals.

Meanwhile, Shin Bet chief David Zini met Egyptian intelligence director Hassan Rashad in Cairo to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced plans to bury 15 slain Palestinians whose bodies had been held by Israel and could not be identified, citing humanitarian and religious obligations.

Hospitals in Gaza received the bodies of three slain Palestinians in the past 24 hours — two newly killed and one body recovered — along with two gunshot injuries.

Since the “ceasefire” began on October 11, 2025, the total stands at 356 slain and 908 wounded, with 607 bodies recovered.

Since October 7, 2023, the overall toll of Israel’s assault on Gaza has reached 70,103 martyrs and 170,985 wounded, the majority of them children and women.
