Israeli occupation forces conducted a new wave of destruction across the West Bank on Thursday, demolishing two homes and issuing a third demolition notice east of Jericho while simultaneously invading Nablus, blowing up an apartment, and abducting several Palestinians in a series of escalating military operations.

In Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli bulldozers accompanied by military vehicles invaded the eastern area of the city and demolished two residential villas belonging to Jerusalem‑resident families.

One of the homes was inhabited by the family of Hussein Jaber, while the second—recently constructed—belonged to the al‑Ajlouni family.

A third villa, owned by Aziz Bassa, received a formal demolition notice during the same operation.

Before dawn, Israeli forces invaded Nablus in the northern West Bank, surrounded an apartment belonging to the Hasiba family behind the National Hospital, and detonated explosives inside it after abducting Rami Hasiba and his son Ahmad.

The explosion caused extensive structural damage to the apartment and neighboring units, a tactic increasingly used by Israeli forces during urban invasions.

In separate invasions across the city, Israeli forces entered the Old City of Nablus, stormed a home in the Yasmina quarter, and abducted Momen ad‑Dabeek.

Another young man, Hani Abu Leil, was abducted after forces stormed his family home in the Askar al‑Qadim (Old Askar) refugee camp east of the city.

During the invasion, the soldiers stormed and ransacked several shops in the Central Market and fired live rounds at a residential building, in addition to detaining, assaulting, and interrogating many Palestinians.

The demolitions are part of a broader escalation in Israeli destruction of Palestinian homes and structures across the West Bank in recent weeks. Recent documented incidents include:

  • Demolitions in occupied Jerusalem, including residential apartments in al‑‘Isawiya, commercial structures in Bab al‑Amoud, and repeated demolitions in Qalandia, Rafat, and as‑Sawahra.
  • Demolition orders in Tarqumiya, where six homes under construction were targeted.
  • Destruction of agricultural structures in Hebron’s southern villages, including Khirbet Deir Razeh.
  • The 244th demolition of al‑Arakib in the Negev, reflecting a long‑term policy of erasure.
  • Punitive demolitions in Jenin, Nablus, and other northern West Bank areas are often conducted alongside abductions and field interrogations.

Human rights organizations say these actions form part of a systematic strategy aimed at displacing Palestinian communities, restricting urban expansion, and exerting pressure on families through home destruction, property confiscation, and forced displacement.

Thursday’s demolitions and explosions in Jericho and Nablus follow a pattern of intensified Israeli invasions and violations across the occupied West Bank, frequently involving home destruction, abductions, and the use of explosives inside residential buildings.

Residents and local officials report that these operations routinely include assaults, property damage, and the targeting of families during nighttime invasions.
