Earlier Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces conducted extensive invasions and searches of dozens of homes in villages, towns and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank, before abducting more than 40 Palestinians, including former political prisoners, and subjecting dozens to field interrogations, in addition to wounding several residents.
In the northern town of Arraba, south of Jenin, heavily armed Israeli units stormed residential areas with military vehicles, forcibly breaking into and ransacking home homes, before abducting Ghaith al-Arda, Ali Mardawi, Ali al-Sheibani, Mu’tasim Sabah, and Abbas Abu Salah.
Local sources confirmed that the homes were ransacked during the invasions, and dozens of young men were rounded up and held inside the Mousa community hall, where occupation forces conducted on-the-spot interrogations.
Among those detained was Mohammad al-Arda, a former political prisoner previously released from Israeli custody.
In Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank, the soldiers invaded Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of the city, and abducted Iban Khalil Abdul Aziz Abu Dahouk, 19, after storming the camp and raiding his family home.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces invaded the towns of Tuqu’ and al-Asakra in the Bethlehem governorate.
Troops broke into the homes of Wael Nayef al-Badan and Walid Ahmad al-Asakra, conducting invasive searches. No abductions were reported in these locations.
In a separate invasion, occupation forces stormed the village of Jouret al-Sham’a, south of Bethlehem, storming the home of Maher Salim. Despite the aggressive nature of the invasion, no detentions were confirmed.
In Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades, detained and assaulted several Palestinians near the main entrance of Ethna town, west of the city, resulting in multiple injuries.
Also in Hebron, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked Palestinian shepherds in the village of Al-Mafqara, in Masafer Yatta, south of the city, and attempted to steal their livestock before being intercepted by local residents and international solidarity activists.
Following the attack, Israeli soldiers abducted a young Palestinian man, Moath Hamamda, and detained two international peace activists.
These invasions form part of Israel’s ongoing campaign of collective punishment and militarized repression across the occupied Palestinian territories, routinely violating international humanitarian law and targeting civilians without due process.
Israeli prisons currently hold over 10,800 Palestinian detainees, many of whom are subjected to systematic torture, starvation, and medical neglect. Palestinian and Israeli human rights reports, these conditions have led to the deaths of numerous detainees.
