Israeli forces abducted, on Thursday, nine Palestinians in the Tulkarem governorate, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank. The army later withdrew from Tulkarem city and its refugee camps after an extended incursion that lasted three days.

Media sources said that occupation forces abducted the young men, Mahdi Ziad al-Jayousi, Abed Abu Asba, and the former prisoner, Moaz Samir al-Haroun, after storming their homes in Tulkarem city.

Over a three day period, occupation forces invaded and besieged the city of Tulkarem, the Tulkarem refugee camp, and the Nur Shams refugee camp.

Media sources said that occupation bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and citizens’ property, while sharpshooters occupied the rooftops of citizens homes and converted them into military barracks.

Sources added that infantry units were deployed in many neighborhoods, amid the flight of reconnaissance drones.

The army besieged the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and obstructed the work of ambulance crews.

Sources added that Israeli forces bombed at least ten citizens’ homes in the Tulkarem camp over the duration of the military incursion, leaving the camp in a disastrous state.

In the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem, occupation bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and citizens’ homes.

Ibrahim Al-Nimr, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) in Tulkarem, told the WAFA News Agency that Israeli soldiers abducted the young men, Mohammad Shafiq Ahmad Jad, Yusef Ghaleb Mahmoud Aref, Walid Abu Seria, Ahmad Al-Shamsi, and Mohammad Marwan Al-Shamsi.

Sources added that soldiers abducted the young man, Ali Samir Al-Labadi, after storming his home in the town of Far’un, south of Tulkarem.

On Thursday evening, the occupation army withdrew from the city of Tulkarem and its two refugee camps after three consecutive days of aggression.

The Tulkarem Municipality immediately moved to repair the massive destruction left in the Tulkarem refugee camp, following the army’s withdrawal.
