On Tuesday at dawn, undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated the Eastern Neighborhood in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, and assassinated a young Palestinian man.

Media sources said the undercover forces infiltrated the Al-Ghoul residential building in the Eastern Neighborhood, shot Jihad Alawna, 23, in the thigh, and left him bleeding to death without any medical aid.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics went to the building after the army left the area and retrieved the corpse of the slain young man.

Meanwhile, several military vehicles, including bulldozers, invaded the same area, destroyed streets and infrastructure, and demanded that families evacuate their homes before burning several homes.

The soldiers also closed Jenin’s southern entrance and significantly increased their presence on Nablus Street, Asfour Junction, Nazareth Street, and many other areas to tighten the siege on the city and its surroundings.

Since the beginning of this year, Israeli soldiers have killed at least 95 Palestinians: 43 in Jenin, 18 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 11 in Nablus, 5 in Hebron, 2 in Bethlehem, 1 in Jerusalem, and 1 in Qalqilia.
