On Saturday, the Israeli occupation army continued its offensive for the 75th consecutive day on Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. The offensive includes the leveling and burning of homes, as well as the conversion of others into military outposts.

In Jenin city, the army deployed infantry brigades in the az-Zahra’ neighborhood and around the Jenin refugee camp, abducting a Palestinian after stopping and searching him and his car.

Additionally, soldiers abducted a young man who went to inspect his family’s home in the Jenin refugee camp. His family is among hundreds forcibly displaced from the camp.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army continues to deploy military reinforcements and armored vehicles to Jenin city and the refugee camp.

Additional infantry forces have been stationed near the camp and in Wadi Burqin, where roads are being carved and expanded, altering the camp’s layout and demolishing civilian homes.

The army has also deployed additional units around the Al-Jalama military roadblock, north of Jenin, where live ammunition is sporadically fired near the depopulated refugee camp.

The municipality of Jenin has begun removing the sandhills placed by Israeli occupation forces at the entrance of the Rayan building to facilitate residents’ return to their apartments.

Jenin Governor Kamal Abu Ar-Rob stated that efforts are underway to ensure the return of displaced residents to their homes. In the interim, the province is working to provide mobile caravans as temporary housing for the displaced.

The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate for the approximately 21,000 displaced Palestinians forcibly removed by the occupation army from their homes in the Jenin refugee camp. Many have lost their sources of income, possessions, and access to their homes.

Estimates indicate that 600 homes in the camp have been destroyed, while nearly 3,000 housing units are uninhabitable.

Jenin Mayor Mohammed Jarar highlighted significant humanitarian challenges, including addressing the plight of 21,000 displaced residents.

He also noted the addition of tens of thousands of newly impoverished individuals to the existing list of those who have lost their jobs and livelihoods.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation army continues to conduct widespread invasions and abductions in villages and towns across the governorate on an almost daily basis.

In Burqin town, west of Jenin, soldiers stormed and ransacked the home of former political prisoner Sultan Khalaf before abducting his father and brother, taking them as hostages to pressure him into surrendering.

In related news, the army has continued its aggression on Tulkarem city, located in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, and its refugee camps for the 69th consecutive day. This includes 56 days of intensified invasions targeting the Nur Shams refugee camp.

Since the start of the year, Israeli forces have killed 117 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including 20 children and four women. The casualties include 51 in Jenin, 20 in Tubas, 15 in Nablus, and smaller numbers in other regions.
