On Friday dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded Orif village, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, before detonating and demolishing the homes of two Palestinian political prisoners.
Media sources said many Israeli military vehicles, including a bulldozer, invaded the village and surrounded the home of Hamed Kayed Sabbah after isolating the entire neighborhood.
They added that the soldiers stormed the property and assaulted the family before forcing them out of their home.
The soldiers then wired and detonated the three-story home that housed 16 Palestinians from four families.
The soldiers also invaded the home of detainee Ziad Jibril Safadi before forcing his family out in the cold.
Israeli military bulldozers then proceeded to demolish the property after encircling the entire area around it.
During the invasion, the army invaded the local Village Council and several homes in the town before storming and ransacking them and abducting Yousef Shehada, Ammar Shehada, and Abdullah Shehada.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army abducted Hamed Sabbah on June 21, 2023, and Ziad Safadi on June 10, allegedly for involvement in a shooting that led to the death of four Israeli colonizers on the Ramallah-Nablus Road; two Palestinians, Khaled Mustafa Sabbah and Mohannad Faleh Shehada, were killed by Israeli fire in the same incident.
Israel’s home demolition policy, regardless of background and justifications, is an illegal act of Collective Punishment that violates International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and all related treaties and constitutes war crimes.
