For 56 consecutive days, Israeli forces have continued their aggression against Tulkarem city and its refugee camp, and for 43 days against the Nur Shams camp, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank. This escalation has been marked by forced evacuations, repeated invasions, and widespread destruction of infrastructure.

On Saturday morning, Israeli forces compelled residents of ten homes in the Rabay’a neighborhood of Tulkarem camp to evacuate, giving them a deadline of 10:30 a.m. to leave.

This followed the forced evacuation of the Moqata’a neighborhood in the refugee camp the previous day, where residents’ homes were seized and turned into military outposts, triggering a wave of forced displacement among the local population.

This escalation is part of an ongoing campaign of forced displacement targeting neighborhoods on the camp’s outskirts, including Qaqoun, Abu Al-Fool, Marba’at Hanoun, Al-Hadaida, Al-Matar, Al-Moqata’a, and Al-Rabay’a. These violations have left the camp nearly empty, with over 12,000 Palestinians forcibly displaced.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces have intensified their military operations in Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, imposing a tight siege.

They have deployed additional vehicles, bulldozers, and infantry units into the neighborhoods and alleys, causing extensive damage to already devastated infrastructure. Entrances to the camps have been blocked with rubble and earth mounds.

In one instance, Israeli bulldozers destroyed a section of the Employees’ Housing Street in the Ektaba suburb east of Tulkarem, near Nur Shams refugee camp, damaging infrastructure and the water supply network.

Additionally, Israeli forces have seized over eight residential buildings in the northern neighborhood adjacent to Nablus Street in Tulkarem.

These buildings, containing dozens of apartments, were forcibly evacuated and converted into military outposts. The area has been declared a closed military zone.

Military presence has also intensified along Nablus Street, parts of which have been blocked with earth mounds. Movement has been severely restricted, with vehicles and residents subjected to prolonged inspections, identity checks, and searches of mobile phones. Shops along the street have been raided, with workers interrogated and premises searched.

The ongoing escalation in Tulkarem and its camps has resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have been injured or detained, while over 24,000 people have been forcibly displaced from Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, alongside numerous families from the city’s northern neighborhood.

The aggression has caused widespread destruction to infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles, with many subjected to complete or partial demolition, arson, vandalism, and looting. Entrances and alleys in both camps remain blocked by earth mounds and barriers.
