On Saturday, Israeli soldiers invaded Artas Palestinian village south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank and handed an order halting the construction of a Palestinian home.

Lutfi As’ad, the head of Artas Village Council, said the soldiers invaded the Al-Atan area in the village and handed the order to the homeowner, Ahmad Saleh Abu Swai.

As’ad added that Ahmad was building his home on his property after receiving a permit from the Village Council, but the army does not recognize the permit because it was not issued by the so-called “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli occupation.

Many Palestinians protested the invasion and hurled stones at the army jeeps before the soldiers fired gas bombs and concussion grenades.
