On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, wounding dozens of Palestinians.
The Palestinians marched in the village and headed to its blockaded main entrance before the soldiers attacked them with rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Many Palestinian youngsters responded by throwing stones at the soldiers and burning tires, while the army also attempted to ambush and abduct several Palestinians.
Media sources said the soldiers shot seven Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
